After three kids and my 38th birthday I decided I could no longer take being overweight. I started exercising and lost 15 pounds. When the scale wouldn't budge I started changing my eating habits and eventually lost a total of 40 pounds. I thought that eventually I would get the waist I always dreamed of because of my commitment-- but it wasn't happening. I never had much of a waist or a butt so now that I'm 38 at this point it's even worse. So I started researching tummy tucks and visiting dr's in the area. I finally met a dr I liked and when I left my mtg with him I knew I wanted him to perform my tummy tuck. I've had mixed feeling about getting a bbl- what will people say- this dr. Hasn't done a thousand like the ones in Miami, everyone will know since I've always had a flat butt- they will all talk about me and how will I respond if they ask me if I had a bbl, etc etc. I'm still struggling with this but I'm going to do it anyways. I'm scheduled for lipo bbl and tt on July 3rd. I'm scared and excited at the same time. I'm going to post pics of my before and I just started buying supplies. Funny thing is I cancelled my original date cuz I got cold feet. Now I'm back on schedule and all things willing, I'm going in the day after the fireworks go off- lol!! I have read some great stories and viewed the most awesome success pics. If it wasn't for the self family I don't think I could have done this. Please comment all you like cuz it makes me feel like I have tons of support out there and many people praying for all to go well. Don't you all feel like when one of us goes through sx and all goes and looks well , it's one for our team? In real life women are very judgemental and criticize each other's bodies constantly. I found on here that we are all genuinely happy and get super excited whe we see each other's smokin', snatched, hot bodies! My husband is supporting me and took days off to take care of me. He never once said " I like you're body the way you it is", but I'm ok with that cuz he did say " if that's what you want to do you know I'll take care of you". I almost thought about going down to Miami and have dr fisher, dr Miami or one of those other dr's do it. I'm sure they would do an amazing job too, but I know that I'm a big baby when it comes to pain and I worry a lot. I need a dr that is there 24/7 before and after.. that's just me though. I also know I wouldn't be able to go through this and be sad from being away from my kids. So here I am ladies. I know you won't judge me and I pray all works out and looks awesome!

Hey girl!! Wishing you the best of luck and fast healing!!! Tt and bbl combo is going to be a steep healing ride but remember to focus on your long term goal, take your meds on time and range to have help with the kids and the house. I'm 7 weeks post op for my tt and ba and taking my meds on one was the best advice I ever got. Congrats on your weight loss and I hope your surgery and recovery goes amazingly well xxxxxxo!!!

Thank you so much. I know I'm so worried about the recovery but that's great advice and will keep telling myself that ...long term goal. How are you liking your results? My dr doesn't want me to get massages for 6 weeks but I'm going to look up how to do them at home and have hubby do them. I appreciate your support no keep me posted on your progress.

Hmmm that's interesting that he doesn't want you to have massages. Usually massage is to help drain fluid from lipo and to help tissues expel excess fluid and reduce swelling. That's curious that he doesn't want massages. I would ask him why...maybe there's a really good reason not to and if they're done, they wreck the result?? Soooo...what I've learned is that once my swelling went down on my BA, I was like oh no...my boobs are smaller :( so my advice is to go up 25cc from your preferred size because it gets lost somehow in the process. Hopefully drop and fluff will give me my post op swelling size back but I think I'm just wishful thinking. The tt healing is no joke. I did really good for 4 weeks then started to do too much and my drain holes started to widen and get worse instead of close and heal. So please take it really easy after your surgery. Stuff can get done after you're healed...you don't want to risk a complication like what I did because of being impatient to heal!!!

Btw I will talk to him about adding a little more cc but he said he wasn't sure how much fat I had until he started lipo. Right now he think definitely 650 cc but I was hoping for a little more . What were you doing that caused your holes to widen? I remember after my last c section I was up and down the stairs washing clothes 3 day after giving birth. When I went to see the dr a week or so later he took one look at me and then my stitches and said " you are doing too much and you're going to open your stitches ". I don't want to push myself again. Also how is sleeping for you? I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to swing that without injuring or ruining anything. Take care and talk to you soon.

And....try not to stress about the judgmental people. I completely get your worries. I live in a really small town and had the same thing. I told one lady that I was still me, just an improved version of myself. That shut her down. I didn't want to explain or justify my surgery choices to strangers who are judgmental about me. If someone continues to be rude to you, look them in the eye and say "Interesting...here I thought you'd support me to look better". Then walk away. No more stressing for you as the focus goes back on them and their behaviour.

Thank you so much for your advice. I fee like you really got this thing down... I'm doing this for me and I will keep that in mind for those who can't keep their negative opinions to themselves. I'm nervous to post my pre pics I to know that those pics of other really helped me to make my decision to go forward with surgery. I'm going to ask doctor on Monday about the massages. Thanks for messaging me.

Hey, sorry I forgot to say...my drain hole widened for a bunch of reasons, I think. I went back to work too early, a dog jumped on my incision, I tried to do too much around the house and I didn't rest enough, and lastly because I spat up a stitch that got infected while it was working its way up and out. After cutting that out and being exhausted from pushing myself everyday to "get back to real life", my body was mad at me and having my drain holes widen to the point where I needed a vac dressing to help close them forced me to stop working, honestly rest, and park my butt so I could heal properly.

I was scared about being judged for my bbl as well and I haven't told a soul! Not even my best friend! Only my hubby knows about it! But I got a size that wasn't noticeable and people think I just did squats because I am a gym freak! Lol!!but it's not huge but I'm happy with it because it's more than what I had! Clothes look and fit better! Definitely a confidence booster!! Do it for yourself! You won't regret it!!

You deserve to feel good and be happy with your body liposuction and tt will do miracle for your body and I think your butt is not that flat at all.I only had one child and my body is still not back in shape so I think you look awesome for having 3 kids girl! I'm soooo excited for you! Btw your body isn't bad at all, your results are going to be amazing! Watch! You have beautiful skin already and you'd figure is going to be banging after Dr P snatches you! I know it's hard about worrying what other people will say but honestly a majority of them if they had the money to get something done, they would and guess what, they wouldn't be worried about what anyone had to say. So with that being said, forget them! Focus on you and your family and recovering and after you're done recovering GO SHOPPING lol keep your head held high and remember when you're out n about and you see someone looking at you... it's not necessarily a bad thing, I bet they are saying "omg she's so pretty an her body is amazing" :)! So enjoy! No worries! Life is short... enjoy yours and if you have your family support then you're go to go! Can't wait to see your post op pics girl!

Aww you are so sweet. I'm going to take your advice and worry about me and mine and just enjoy. But first I have to stay healthy for this sx. Feels like I'm getting paranoid about every cough or body ache... but I'm so excited. I'm going to buy that dr miami bbl pillow. My hubby and I are started to think of ways to sit and sleep. He doesn't think the lounge chair thing will work. We are going to try it anyways. I just need to ask dr p tomorrow where the drains will be located for the tt, that way I get a better understanding of how I might be able to sleep on my side. Ok ladies I'm putting in my amazon order for supplies. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I'm ordering the items in the pics. I'm also going to order the dr miami bbl pillow. Any reviews on the pillow? I want to get a full body faja.. any suggestions? Remember I'm getting tt bbl and lipo. Dr gives one but I want to get another just in case. Any suggestions?
