I'm very grateful to Dr Sameer and his wonderful team in Mumbai. I received the best care that anyone could hope for.
I made contact with Dr Sameer in March 2016, all my emails and phone calls were answered very quickly. I paid a small deposit to secure my surgery, then booked my flight from Toronto to the UK and then flew from the UK to Mumbai India. I left on the 9th October arrive on the 10th. The time difference is 10 1/2 hours, from Toronto.
I was met at the airport, by a driver, who promptly past me a phone to say hello to Sharada (the office manager) It was very reassuring, as I'm a very apprehensive person.
The following morning, was spent at a diagnostic lab for blood work, x-rays, mammogram, ECG, ultra sound. After which I met with Dr Sameer. We again went over my hopes and wishes. He also suggested I brought photos of when I was younger so he could see how I had aged. I would say he took off 20 years. I had a face lift with lower and upper eyes. Plus breast augmentation 350c placed above the mussel.
After the surgery I was sick, which I knew that would happen, the night nurse stayed with me the whole night. I was fitted with a catheter and an intravenous drip for pain medication. I didn't leave my bed for two days.
The nursing staff are wonderful, I was treated wonderfully, I was never in any pain. Dr Sameer visited twice a day. I didn't have any bruising which I thought was amazing.
I stayed at the clinic for 19 days. My reason to stay so long, was to make sure I was fit for traveling home as the flights were so long and if there had been any complications or concerns I would be in the right place. To be honest I could have traveled home after two weeks as I only had a small amount of facial swelling. The last few days I was sight seeing and shopping. I spent my days resting, watching TV and reading books.
The face lift, eyes (lower and upper) and breast augmentation, plus 24hour clinic care total was $14000.00 CAD. My flight was $921 CAD, Visa for visiting India $164 CAD
One of the regrets I do have is, two days after my first operation I was booked to have a mini tummy tuck and lipo. But I chickened out because I always throw up after surgery. Dr Sameer wanted to wait two days. When I cancelled he said " that was ok and not to worry" oh how I wish he had been more forceful I could have an hourglass figure now ! lol The extra for lipo and mini tummy tuck was $4000 CAD
I should mention that I also met with two surgeons in Toronto they to had wonderful reviews, but after the surgery I had to stay in a hotel for one night, then have a check up the following morning, then travel for 3hours in a car to go home and look after myself. At the time it brought up a red flag to me, so that's when I started to look for a surgeon that gave me 24hour care or longer if I wanted it.
If your looking for an artist in his field with years of experience, who has a wonderful team, who treat you royally, I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Sameer Karhanis.
