54 Year Old Neck Lift Success - Mumbai, IN

I am heading off tomorrow- stitches out very fine suturing, bruising around flanks but only minor bruise on one cheek bone. Healing well, no pain or headaches which I put down to the wonderful after care. Will really miss Dr Karkhanis - who is simply the most caring and gifted surgeon I have ever met. I treasure my experience here at the Mumbai centre and feel as though I will be forever connected with the nurses and nurse aids who have made my stay pure joy.

After travelling to Phuket for a lower face lip and liposuction only to find the procedures were going to cost twice what they had previously estimated, I researched Indian cosmetic surgeons and was impressed by Dr Sameer Karkhanis because of his exceptional reviews.  I am now on Day 8 post op and already my under chin area is looking as it did two decades ago. His Mumbai clinic specialises in providing aftercare so like me, many patients stay for a 10 day recovery period with 24/7 nursing care on hand.Dr Sameer is a gifted surgeon but he is also kind, softly spoken with a serene and genuine nature. He never rushes and spends time explaining the medications and treatments. He makes time for twice daily visits and he never dismisses your concerns.  I am thrilled with the results - Dr Sameer even took the extra time to restore my earlobes which I had lost in previous mid-face lift.
In coming to India for surgery, you have to be aware that urban infrastructure is a work in progress so even the most reputable hospitals and clinics may have very humble entrances on streets without pavements.  Nevertheless, once at your destination you will be treated by highly trained, professional nurses, anaesthetists and surgeons. There is no doubt that Dr Karkhanis and his staff offer world class expertise. I had an amazing experience with Dr Karkhanis in Mumbai. I am now on day 8 and will leave India in another week. I am astounded at the improvement in the wobbly skin under my chin as I was told that I would be lucky to get even a 20% improvement. Thankfully Dr Karkhanis was much more positive from the outset. I will wear a chin strap once I leave but At the moment, I have a crepe bandage. There's almost no bruising but lots of tiny stitches around the ears.
I am so glad I was able to stay in the hospital ward as I have had heaps of meds to take- antibiotics, diuretics, painkillers being the main ones. The nurses have been so kind and attentive to my every need. You end up feeling spoilt rotten.
For someone like me, this level of surgery would have been well beyond my capacity to save up for but coming to India and carefully choosing a cosmetic surgeon endorsed by the international association for cosmetic medicine and renowned for the quality of his work-has made my dream a reality. Dr Karkhanis is one of that rare breed of human beings who truly deserves his commendations.
