After a long time coming, I was able to get breast augmentation covered by my Medicaid insurance. I felt comfortable with Dr Mathes after our first consult. Never made me feel weird or misgendered me. Although in the day of the surgery, the staff kept misgendering me, which sucked because it took away from the experience of finally curbing my dysphoria from having no breasts. The surgery was an hour and 15 minutes long. My chest looks great even after only a day. Can't wait for them to drop and "fluff" to get full results. Post op appointment is on Dec 5th. 10 days after the surgery on Nov 25.

Congrats on finally getting Medicaid to pay for your surgery. I am still battling with my insurance to cover mine. Hopefully in 2020 they will finally relent and cover them. You look great, and good luck with the rest of your journey.

Unfortunately they've completely stopped covering it in Colorado as of 2020. Not sure how it works other places

I actually had to purchase Regency as a Medicaid backup plan, and they are covering everything. Well worth what I am paying.

Congrats on your surgery, transition and the great effort by you and your PS. Looking very good for such a recent surgery. Hope the recovery and everything works out well. I am also MTF trans and had my BA done 16 months ago and have never been happier. Sure the same will happen with you. When you have time, please offer more details on your surgery. I went with 360cc saline under the muscle with the armpit incision. Any extra details will help all that follow in our footprints. Congrats again and thanks for your post here.....Best wishes!
