My procedure is in two days and I am so ready for this! More anxious than nervous. The staff is great, I feel that I can count on them for any questions or concerns I have. Dr. Baxter is also really great and I completely trust him. Looking forward to my extended tummy tuck and lipo for my ridiculous love handles ;) I'll be posting pics of my progress...

First day!

HoneyButterfly02
Okay so this morning I felt good, a bit nervous but the conversations I had with the nurses made me forget that I was about to have surgery. Then I woke up, cried a little when I saw my husband because it made me happy and relieved. Getting into the car was fine and walking up the stairs was okay too. But then the pain started to kick in even after I had my pain meds, I am barely able to open my eyes and my stomach is in excruciating pain as if I did a million sit ups. And going to the bathroom is the worse thing ever! Ouch! I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better day! Will keep updating my posts...

Let us know how you're doing...I hope you have a handle on the pain and can rest comfortably. Do you have or can you get a walker to help with the bathroom trips? I even bought a device to pee standing up if that is easier (I hope not messier!). My TT is Tuesday- so wish me luck. Happy healing!

Thank you napmom, ya my husband actually bought a device to help me pee standing up. Today I don't feel any better just sleeping a lot. Good luck to you on tuesday!

Day 2!

Still in a massive amount of pain but then my husband noticed a ton of patchy rashes on my face chest and body, I took benadryl right away and called the nurse. Apparently I had an allergic reaction to the narcotic I was prescribed so I stopped taking it and waiting for my husband to pick up my new medicine. Going pee is still a hassle, my husband bought me a device that I can stand to pee because it kept splashing on my full body binder. (Hubby had to hand wash it for me). Lol ugh I just want this day to be over and hope tomorrow I will have a more positive update to share with you all. This goes to show that every experience is different and there's no way to really prepare yourself emotionally just have a good caregiver you can trust and rely on. :)

A good caregiver is key, don't know what I would have done without my hubby and mom!! Hang in there everyday gets better!
