After going through menopause, I found intercourse...
$800
After going through menopause, I found intercourse became increasingly more painful. I tried lubricants, dilators, even HRT, nothing seemed to help. After reading such positive reviews about the Mona Lisa Touch laser, I was hoping this would be the answer to my problems. However, after two (expensive) treatments, I have seen absolutely no improvement. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed. I hope in time doctors will be able to tell which women the treatment will help and those whom it will not. In my case, I suspect that since even HRT did not work, the Mona Lisa could not help either.

sorry you aren't happy. Research shows that the full three treatments are necessary to achieve a positive results. Then, yearly treatments are needed to maintain the results. 13 out of 14 women experience improvement and less dryness. My experience has been very positive overall, but statistically some women will not have the outcome they desire.
I have had THREE full treatments and my symptoms are worse. I am so sad. And...as unusual as this might sound, my orgasms are not as full and complete as they were. I am at such a loss as to what to do. I have a beautiful husband and marriage and am very upset that this treatment has made things worse. Any suggestions??
How many weeks are you post treatment and have you rung your gyno? I've been told I'm worse after my 3rd treatment because I have a chemical burn that is not healing well 5 wks post treatment. Have been prescribed cortisone and vagifem and told I'll be better in a month.
Just realized I've replied to a post that's 1 year old. I can't see how to delete or edit my posts.
You have come so far treat yourself to tht third treatment. I had to pay for 3 upfront so you can be sure I will do the whole series. My Dr even said one and two may not give significant relief but three will get me there. We will see! I am sure hoping so!
So sorry it did not work for you. Drs should examine you prior to the procedure to see if you are a good candidate. My Gyno did and said fine but I don't believe everything I am told so still very wary. Your comments are very helpful. Thankyou. Sometimes I worry some doctors are just trying to get a return for their investment. Good luck..
It's done by a gynecologist, so of course you get an examination. Don't know if they can tell who it will or won't work for.
