The Best Cosmetic Surgeon!

Dr. Korman is a phenomenal surgeon, doctor, artist, therapist (too many titles to add). Dr. Korman was the third doctor I met with. I had been communicating with his amazing patient coordinator Nicole and when I met Dr. Korman I knew I wanted to have the procedure with him. Another reason why I chose him was because he also performed Vaser Lipo in addition to Smart Lipo to give me better results.

After my initial consultation, and based on Dr. Korman’s recommendation, I decided to having lipo on my chin/neck, abdominals, flanks and entire back. My procedure was scheduled 3 weeks after meeting Dr. Korman.

On the day of the surgery, I was excited! I chose conscious sedation as I didn’t want or felt I needed general anesthesia. He started on my back and flanks, which was fine, minimal pain. Next was by abdominals. This part was quite painful. I’m not sure if it was the laser or suction that was more painful, but I was able to stay calm. The last part was my chin, which I didn’t feel any discomfort. The entire procedure took around 2-2.5 hours.

Recovery went pretty well. Dr. Korman prescribed Norco, but I didn’t want to take it so I stuck with Extra Strength Tylenol. That was able to help. Right after surgery I was a little nauseous, so I took an anti-nausea medication, which helped. The day of the surgery I rested the entire day. I did a little walking but rested for the most part. I was out of it and slept a lot during the day.

I had my first post-op appointment 2 days after my surgery. I was swollen and had a little pain. I was returning to work the next day and felt ready to go back. Dr. Korman really emphasized the importance of clean eating and physical activity so I can see and maintain the results (except he said I had to wait 3 weeks to go to the gym which was disappointing cause I missed Zumba). I wasn’t worried about clean eating because I’m currently in a medically supervised weight loss program and had lost 10 lbs before the surgery.

Today I had my second post-op appointment. It was absolutely wonderful. A lot of swelling had gone down and Dr. Korman was able to tell that I had listened to him about clean eating. I told him I had lost 12 lbs since the surgery (which is about 2.5-3 weeks ago). He said he would take after pictures in a couple of months so the majority of the swelling would be gone. I see him again in 2 months.

This process has been amazing and I’m so glad I chose Dr. Korman. He is a wonderful person and this experience has truly increased my self confidence!
