I have had two children via c-section, and always...

I have had two children via c-section, and always over produced milk, going up several cup sizes. This caused my breasts to deflate after breastfeeding. My bmi is only about 18, but I also had some extra skin on my belly (although not enough fat for liposuction) and needed a tummy tuck as well as a ba.

Prior to the surgery, I was terrified. The surgeon I ended up choosing completely put me at ease and has an excellent bedside manner. His work was amazing. This is really important, especially because you will be completely naked in ffont of the doctor operating on you; its important you feel comfortable.

The procedure went unusually smoothly, with absolutely nothing going wrong and all of the staff and anaestesiologist extremely kind, capable and attentive. I dreamt while I was under; it felt like I was in a very deep sleep. I woke up in pain, but extremely energized, feeling as if I could run a mile. Some of this was probably due to excitement. The center was small and comfortable. I joked with the doctor when I was coming to and there was no shock or panic. I think the first thing I said was "I'm alive!"

The nurse that was there when I woke up was so sweet, and made me feel so good about myself even while I was throwing up. I took anti nausea medication, but still vomited excessively, which was very painful.

I felt like a character out of the childhood book, "the Princess and the Pea." If there were a pea under my mattress when I returned home, I would have felt it. When my husband go up from the same couch as me, it hurt. Every moment hurt at first, even to talk. It's interesting how much you use your abs for. Even crying or laughing would have been impossible.

The second day was the hardest, but it was actually due to constipation. I recommend hot coffee, fiber bars, and lots of hot water mixed with chia seeds to combat this, with the hot water being most important; this was a lifesaver. I watched a funny video, and while it hurt to laugh so hard, it really helped strengthen my muscles enough so it wasn't an issue. Prune juice does not work. I wasn't able to go easy on the pain meds at first but I recommend doing so, since this helps.

The only emotional rollercoaster for me was before the surgery, because general anastesthia terrifies me. I probably would have done this conciously (twilight) if he would have let me. I became pretty emotional before out of fear of surgery, but knew I chose the right doctor after reviewing his work and meeting him.

I completely overreacted worrying so much. I definitely advise avoiding negative people following the surgery. Stress really increases pain. After talking to my sister after I was finished, I ended up in excruciating pain. Avoid family members who drive you crazy, especially if they really look down on cosmetic procedures. My husands family was amazing, though, I was lucky to have them.

There was one point on the second day where the back and belly pain was really intense. I really didn't feel like I could deal with it, and the pain pills weren't working. I juiced fresh turmeric root with cucumber, and I'm not sure if the turmeric somehow activated the pain medication or acted as an anti-inflammatory, but that stuff is amazing. I instantly felt a sort of body high after drinking it. It literally took the pain away instantly, and I'm not someone the placebo affect works well on. I would say it works better than arnica or bromelain, both of which I was also taking.

It's really odd having your body wrapped and not knowing what cup or bra size you are for a couple days. I may be swollen, but I'm measuring at a 30dddd or e, although they definitely don't look excessively huge at all (I would have guessed large d). My husband says they are perfect, and I agree. I unwrapped and rewrapped my bandages on top and am really happy with the results, but have no idea about my tummy since it's in a compression garment. I don't have any bruising, and my body is healing very quickly.

When you are choosing a cosmetic surgeon, there are so many factors to consider. Cosmetic surgery is not just healthcare, it's an art. Dr. Fazilat was not only extremely professional, he has an excellent bedside manner and really makes you feel comfortable. It's really important to be able to open up with someone who will be operating on you. He should be nicknamed the "patient whisperer", because he has a calming way about him that is so important for this type of procedure. Dr SF is a true artist, and I'm extremely satisfied with the results. Safety was also very important for me, and you could tell he took extra measures to make sure that nothing went wrong. He also chooses his staff well, and the surgical center and anaestesiologist were all wonderful. The procedure honestly couldn't have been any smoother, and I couldn't be happier. He went above and beyond, and my results are far above expectations. I highly recommend.
