After years of discomfort, and lots of research, I finally went through with my surgery. I had gone to my obgyn originally, who completely understood my concern but in the end I wanted it done by a plastic surgeon who had done the procedure many times before.

I plan on giving a day by day review and will upload pictures when I have them.

Day 1
I was put to sleep for the surgery (which I highly recommend) and woke up fine with little to no immediate pain ( I believe I had the trim method). I went home and laid down on the couch with ice. After a few hours the pain (a slight stinging) kicked in and I took my prescribed pain pills. I finally had to use the rest room which hurt...a lot. I dabbed myself dry and continued to ice. I went to sleep that night and woke up in the middle with a decent amount of pain and the need to go to the bathroom which again hurt. I iced and finally went back to sleep.

Day 2
I woke up with a decent amount of pain and after using the rest room applied polysporin. It still hurts but it's manageable. I have yet to take a shower and am scared to do so but probably need to. I believe I'm fairly swollen but can hardly see anything. I also noticed I now have a bit of a camel toe, but I hope that's from all the swelling and will go away. (?). For now I'm just continuing to rest and ice and refuse to look very closely at it.
