Motiva Implants - Breast Augmentation

RealSelf has really helped me make an educated decision when it comes to my breast augmentation, so I’m hoping by sharing my journey and photos it can help others! Especially in the Motiva community. As of my consultation, I am going with 340cc Motiva Ergonomix Demi implants, under the muscle.

Before photos lying down. 3 days pre-op. Getting super excited & have started to prepare some items! Zip-up jacket to leave in, surgical bra, bio oil, neck pillow for up-right sleeping comfort, sweats and joggers to be comfy in.

I have such similar boobs to you, AND I am also looking at getting 340cc motivas. And i'm also in Cape Town. May I ask who you are going to? My surgery is on the 15th and Im so curious to see how yours go!

That is amazing! I struggled to find before photos with similar boobs to mine so that makes me happy that I can help you and it’s the best when you find women getting the same size and implants and stuff! I’m going in on Monday to see Dr Maresky. Feel free to follow my BA journey on Instagram if you want @motivababe.

Ooh will do thanks so much for sharing. I nearly booked a consult with Dr Maresky but saw dr Nerina Wilkinson and loved her. But I’m glad she recommended pretty much the exact same as you (Will chose final size on Monday but she also thinks 340cc Demi) so I feel like I’m on the right track. So nervous but excited xx

I was also between the two! Good luck! I’d love to stay in contact since we have such similar journeys!

Day 1-2 Post-op

Hi all! I had surgery on Monday 7 September and today is now Thursday 10 September. I will give you an update from surgery until this morning.
So far so good, I really can’t complain! I have had very minimal, very tolerable pain. It’s mostly just tightness and tenderness.
Day of surgery: Went well! I went in early around 7:30 am to prep, went into surgery around 8:30-9:00, surgery took about an hour I believe, and woke up in recovery around 11:30 maybe? I woke up very sore and tight but no nausea or anything which I’m very grateful for. I asked for more pain meds when I woke up, and my nurse told me they had already put some in my IV for me to feel when I woke up. But they gave me a tiny bit more. Not sure how much it worked for me though as I was still sore and stiff. My throat was also soo dry and it was a bit hard for me to talk after surgery, so I had some water and just rested a bit. Around 12:30 my mother came to get me, and I was helped out of bed as it was hard to sit up on my own due to pain and tightness. The car ride was unpleasant because of bumps and things- so be sure to pack a nice full pillow to hold onto on the way home from the hospital or clinic.
When I got home, I had some green juice and a smoothie and took a nap propped up on all my pillows and used my travel neck pillow to keep my head and neck comfortable - such a lifesaver and another huge recommendation!
I slept for a few hours, woke up, and again needed help getting out of bed. That’s really the only thing I’ve struggled with the first few days is getting out of bed and laying back onto my bed. It just strains the lower incision area/muscles/ribs. I ate some soup, took some more pain meds and was up and about the rest of the afternoon and evening! Couldn’t do much lifting, pulling, or pushing but other than that have had a decent amount of mobility and strength since surgery.
I’m surprised at how easy it has been and how little actual pain I have felt. I don’t feel like the pain meds have completely diminished my pain or anything, but I can tell once they have worn off that I feel a bit more tight and stuff and that’s when I take some more.
So far I feel like they great already, and I’m just praying they come closer together cause cleavage was the biggest thing I wanted out of all of this. But I’m trusting the process and happy with whatever I get compared to my before boobs :-)
My incision sites started to itch on day 2, which is great cause they must be healing. That’s about the only thing different on day 2! I also went on a walk outside for 30 minutes and was up and about all day again. I have slept through the night really well and comfortably - which is surprising cause I normally sleep on my stomach or side- but sleeping on my back propped up hasn’t been too difficult.
I hope this gives girls some insight to how not all journeys are the same! Mine has been much more of a breeze than I ever could’ve imagined. I chalk it up to the fact that I’m a very healthy, fit, active individual who eats well and takes care of my body!

Thanks so much for sharing. I’m excited, but have 3 children at home. So I have been concerned about recovery. I know everyone is different, although it’s great for a bit of insight! Good luck and all the best for your desired outcome. Thanks again for sharing.

I recovered amazingly but everyone is different! I have heard many women say they definitely needed help with children so I would just be sure you have someone that would be able to assist you and keep the kiddies from jumping on you and stuff xx
Thanks ! All the best

Hello, i am also getting Motiva breast implants! Which size did you get? Also did you do under the muscle? They look very nice and I'm hoping that mine look similar! Fingers crossed- have a speedy recovery:)
September 15, 2020

Hi! Do you have any pictures from the following days? My surgery was 17.09.2020 and I'm super swollen from the bust just like you on your 2nd day pic. Id like to compare my situation to yours. I had Motiva ergonomix full 425cc over muscle, since my breast were lower than my chest muscles. im 170cm and 67 kg. Fats 21 %. Starting point bra 75 C and band measurement 81-78cm depending on the day :) Congratulations for your new boobs!
September 21, 2020
Hello! I don’t think I was swollen ever that was just the implant. But you’re welcome to follow me on Instagram @motivababe. I need to post on here the updates but they make it kind of challenging haha. But I post nearly daily on that BA Instagram.
