Day 1-2 Post-op

Hi all! I had surgery on Monday 7 September and today is now Thursday 10 September. I will give you an update from surgery until this morning.
So far so good, I really can’t complain! I have had very minimal, very tolerable pain. It’s mostly just tightness and tenderness.
Day of surgery: Went well! I went in early around 7:30 am to prep, went into surgery around 8:30-9:00, surgery took about an hour I believe, and woke up in recovery around 11:30 maybe? I woke up very sore and tight but no nausea or anything which I’m very grateful for. I asked for more pain meds when I woke up, and my nurse told me they had already put some in my IV for me to feel when I woke up. But they gave me a tiny bit more. Not sure how much it worked for me though as I was still sore and stiff. My throat was also soo dry and it was a bit hard for me to talk after surgery, so I had some water and just rested a bit. Around 12:30 my mother came to get me, and I was helped out of bed as it was hard to sit up on my own due to pain and tightness. The car ride was unpleasant because of bumps and things- so be sure to pack a nice full pillow to hold onto on the way home from the hospital or clinic.
When I got home, I had some green juice and a smoothie and took a nap propped up on all my pillows and used my travel neck pillow to keep my head and neck comfortable - such a lifesaver and another huge recommendation!
I slept for a few hours, woke up, and again needed help getting out of bed. That’s really the only thing I’ve struggled with the first few days is getting out of bed and laying back onto my bed. It just strains the lower incision area/muscles/ribs. I ate some soup, took some more pain meds and was up and about the rest of the afternoon and evening! Couldn’t do much lifting, pulling, or pushing but other than that have had a decent amount of mobility and strength since surgery.
I’m surprised at how easy it has been and how little actual pain I have felt. I don’t feel like the pain meds have completely diminished my pain or anything, but I can tell once they have worn off that I feel a bit more tight and stuff and that’s when I take some more.
So far I feel like they great already, and I’m just praying they come closer together cause cleavage was the biggest thing I wanted out of all of this. But I’m trusting the process and happy with whatever I get compared to my before boobs :-)
My incision sites started to itch on day 2, which is great cause they must be healing. That’s about the only thing different on day 2! I also went on a walk outside for 30 minutes and was up and about all day again. I have slept through the night really well and comfortably - which is surprising cause I normally sleep on my stomach or side- but sleeping on my back propped up hasn’t been too difficult.
I hope this gives girls some insight to how not all journeys are the same! Mine has been much more of a breeze than I ever could’ve imagined. I chalk it up to the fact that I’m a very healthy, fit, active individual who eats well and takes care of my body!

Motiva Implants - Breast Augmentation

RealSelf has really helped me make an educated decision when it comes to my breast augmentation, so I’m hoping by sharing my journey and photos it can help others! Especially in the Motiva community. As of my consultation, I am going with 340cc Motiva Ergonomix Demi implants, under the muscle.
