12 Days Post-Op
I went back for a check up a week after surgery where I got my dressings removed and Dr. Chia cleared me to ditch the surgical bra. I can now wear bralettes or go bra-less. Also, I can start some lower body (low impact) exercises.
The next few days have been much better. No pain anymore really, just tightness with the skin and occasional soreness. I’ve been wearing a bralette most of the time which is great. My boobs looks quite bigger than I expected but I know it’s looking super pushed up because they still need to drop and fluff. Looking forward to see them look more natural. I’m pretty happy overall :)

Surgery Day/ Post-op Day 1-5
Stats Recap:
67kg weight, 168-170cm height
380cc Demi Motiva Ergos
Sub-glandular (over the muscle)
Pre-op: 34A-36A
The day of the surgery was pretty smooth and went quite quick. I checked in at 9am and got prepped by the nurse. They gave me some meds before the surgery and I was given all my prescription and instructions as well. Dr. Chia came in and answered any questions I had before the operation, then drew up some ‘constellations’ on my chest. Shortly after, I went to the surgery room where the anesthesiologist (who was super nice) gave me the IV. They gave me oxygen and I checked the time before I knocked out. It was 9:45am.
I woke up around noon and felt some tightness on my chest but overall not much pain yet. I dozed off for a few more minutes until the nurse came in to check on me. Dr. Chia came after as well to discuss what to do/not to do the next couple of days and we continued with discharge process. My fiancé picked me up and we went home. Overall, I was expecting the procedure to be much more painful but it was more tolerable than I expected (maybe because I went over the muscle). The SW1 team was also very kind and professional. I truly felt like I was in good hands with Dr. Chia and her team.
The next few days were honestly more tougher than the surgery day itself. Days 1-3 was when I felt peak chest tightness and soreness. It’s a combination of feeling your skin being really stretched out and also very strong pressure on your chest. I think part of the extra pressure discomfort comes from the compression bra so I occasionally loosen it up to be able get a bit of relief. Sleeping on my back is also uncomfortable because I’m normally a side or stomach sleeper. Luckily, I had sleeping pills for the first 3 nights. I was also surprised that I can raise my arms over my head and take a shower since other people’s reviews said they had trouble even lifting their arms past their armpits. I was still being careful of course and did everything slow and cautiously but I was able to live life pretty normal (minus working out).
It’s now Day 5 and I feel better but still a bit sore. My chest still feels tight and numb in certain areas but not as bad as the first 3 days. I guess waking up in the morning is the worst. I understand “morning boob” now lol. I’m also super bloated from the meds so I got some probiotics to help. I’ll be seeing Dr. Chia at Day 8 to check on my stitches and hopefully I can ditch this tight compression bra. Also looking forward to the drop and fluff process! Currently my boobs are sitting high and looking squarish (which is expected). I’ve posted some before and after pics as well.

Motiva Ergonomix Demi - 380CC Over Muscle
This journey has been quite long from me since I have been considering this procedure for years and have seen different doctors in the past. I was close to getting it about 4 years ago but my gut feeling did not sit right with the a previous doctor (which is super important when choosing your surgeon, aside from all the background research you should also do).
Fast forward to this year and I have decided to resume my search once more and found Dr. Chia from SW1 Clinic. Prior to my consultation, I had already read so many positive reviews about her and seen amazing results especially on this site. Moreover, she was the first female surgeon I found with such glowing reviews and experience (not to say there are no good female surgeons out there, I'm sure there are many amazing ones but the industry is saturated with more male doctors). So finding Dr. Chia was a breath of fresh air. I met with Dr. Chia in July and instantly I felt comfortable with her. Not only is she thorough with explaining everything about the procedure, she is very patient with answering any questions and worries in my mind. She is also very mindful of what results I wanted to achieve and does not push towards one option only. She will make her suggestion and explain why but ultimately the decision is for he patient to take. I've had experiences in the past where the other doctors met with me in such a hurry, I felt like I was pestering them during their busy day (even though I'm paying the consultation). Some also are very pushy with going bigger when I always emphasize I want natural and won't even consider a more moderate or low profile all because it is not "popular". Errrgh.
Anyway, back to lovely Dr. Chia -- she basically took measurements and did the vectra scanning. She gave me some size options and I went home to think about what profile to go with. I was so torn between mini and Demi profile since I wanted a natural but modest look. I put the order for mini 310 cc (based on my BWD/Dr. Chias recommendation) but as I scoured the internet for more references, I realized that perhaps with my frame and height, a Demi would get the look I wanted. I'm 168cm, 67kg, athletic build with broad shoulders. I lift heavy and play a lot of sports so I have muscular glutes and legs. I figured the Demi would even out my proportions so I ended up switching my order to the Demi profile. Dr. Chia recommended 380cc over the muscle since I have enough tissue and skin thickness to cover the implant. On top of that, over the muscle fits well with my active lifestyle. I never thought I could be a candidate for over the muscle since I have 34A breasts and in the past I was always told to go under which scared me (and to be honest put me off from getting the procedure due to fitness being my prio), so I was ecstatic to know I can do overs with Dr. Chia.
I'm posting my vectra pics for references and will talk about surgery day on my next post!
