I wanted more volume without having to keep getting injections (had them once about a year ago). This procedure provided a more subtle change than I was expecting after having 6mm removed but I'm satisfied with the results...for now haha. I would have preferred a more drastic change but I didn't really realize that can only be obtained with injections, which I didn't want to have to keep spending hundreds on, or implants, which I find look very unnatural. My lips do look a bit plumper now, so I don't plan on doing anything else to them for a while. But if you're someone who's expecting to get large, voluminous, pouty lips, this procedure probably won't satisfy you. But again, the small change does make quite a difference in appearance and it is a nice little, minimally invasive surgery, with little to no scarring. Please feel free to ask questions since I don't know what else to write.

Do you have before pics? You look amazing. I'm taking screen shots to show my Dr. how your incision was made because you healed beautifully! I can't see a scar at all and so quick! Did you put anything other than steri-strips on it? Thanks!

The doctor said to just put some hydrocortisone cream on it when the strips fell off but besides that no, nothing :)

Would love to see a before pic as I'm also looking into a lip lift with this surgeon! You mentioned he removed 6mm. what was the distance before surgery?

It was 1.6 before so he just brought it down to 1. He thought anything more than that would just look weird

How come? Is the distance between your nose and lip still longer than you'd like? Do you want more tooth show? More volume?

My original length was 22mm. It is now 16mm. Still too long, but before than before. I would love to have your lips. Look like a model. Well done. Surgery is risky but your gamble paid off big time.

Ahh my original was 16 and went down to 10. Yeah I was terrified that something would go wrong and I'd never be able to hide it since it's right on my face! But the surgery and healing went well thank goodness. I would definitely recommend the surgeon I used if you decide to do it again.

The stitches were basically tucked into my nostrils so even if there is some scarring, it's not visible :)

So its been a couple of weeks now, how stiff do they feel? i.e. how does it feel to smile. Is/would it be uncomfortable to kiss anyone at this point? i've read so many vary reviews, you look like you've healed really quickly!

It feels a little tight when I laugh. If I'm smiling just a bit I don't feel any tightness. No tightness or discomfort when kissing either :) it still gets a little itchy occasionally because of the healing but now that the stitches and strips are off, It's not hard to gently scratch the area.
