Juvederm Ultra Plus for Acne Scarring on Cheeks - Montreal, QC

I have had cystic acne as a teen and I am now 28 and left with 2 deep scars on my cheeks. I have been torturing myself with trying to conceal it for all these years but as soon as a light hits my face from the top down my dark creases show. My self esteem has been suffering as a result of this, I avoided certain places knowing there would be a ''spotlight'' type light shining down my face. My derm had done the laser treatment Profractionnal on me 5 years ago and that removed alot of my small scarring. I trust her and know she is a real pro in cosmetic procedures. I am getting married in June and was nervous thinking about the engagement shoot and all the pictures so I decided it was time that I do something about my scars. I booked an appt with my derm to get Restylane or Juvederm or whatever she could use to fill my scars. She asked me if I wanted to get numbed with emla cream and I said no. There is Lidocaine in the Juvederm itself. I asked her to shine a spot of top of my head and dim the lights down so she could see exaclty the contours of my scars. The procedure was not that painful she injected maybe 20 times in total and used the equivalent of 1,5 or 2 seringes of filler. (Not sure if the quantity makes sense but she had a full one @ beggining and went to refill it..) There was a big loss of substance there, alot of filler was needed. She proceeded to massage the gel into my skin to make it all even. I went back to work after that and as the numbing agent + epinephrine in the gel stopped acting it got a little red. The lining of a hematoma (bruise) was beggining to show on one of my cheeks (ruptured vessel). That was 2 days ago. Last night I went out and covered my bruise with concealer it went unnoticed. Now for the results : WOW. I am so friggen excited about this!! I was at a resto last night and washing my hands there was a spot light and usually in these situations I'd avoid looking in a mirror but I dared to look at my face and it was even!!!!!!! No more pits. I couldn't believe it. It really made me so happy. I am never ever going to go back to how it was. I'm going to get this done every year now! I wish I done this earlier..
