Hey everyone! :) I'm going to be getting breast augmentation. I'm not sure when because my mom wants me to do a lot of research first..

Anyways to keep this short, she wants me to not go too big, and neither do I, but i dont think she understands the size I want and I dont think she's very supportive of my choice.

I want to be a full D and I think she wants me to be a small D or average C.. I'm paying for them, I know she wouldnt really have a say, but part of me feels STOPPED because I'm afraid I'm making the wrong choice.

What should I do? Should I stick with my true feeling of going for a full D? I dont want to have to get surgery a year from now because I might regret having gone smaller.

You should do whichever makes you feel comfortable. You don't want to go with her choice and regret not getting bigger.

How old are you?

Only reason I ask is cause my boobs grew two cup sizes from the time I was 18-23! But of you are paying for it get what you want! Just having it done 9 days ago...I wish I had gone as big as I had planned but changed it at last minute! I do still love the size. But really there is a big difference between natural D breast and augmented D breast. Augmented are much taller than natural ones.

Im 22. I've literally been waiting for ANY change for so long. I've also tried natural remedies and nothing worked :/ And thanks I'll definitely take that into consideration!

I felt similarly & I'm in my 30s! I wasn't going to even tell my mom, but felt I needed her "blessing" - I told her, but I also said I didn't want to hear any negativity from her because it is a tough decision for me to make even without her input! She was actually pretty good once I explained that to her. Anyway, you need to do this for yourself and not your mother! I know that can be hard and it can make it feel difficult to make a decision. If you make this decision for yourself, you will be much happier with the result. Also: this is more than just a decision on BA size - it is practicing deciding things without listening to your mom (or other outside sources) & that is something that will serve you well in the future, too! good luck & be strong! :)

Exactly! I feel like i needed her to say "ok". She ended up realizing it was my only option and we are now going together for my consult! So happy I let her know! Thank you so much!

Honestly I would also talk to PS in consultations about what size your body can properly handle-that might give you a better idea of what is the best fit. I always lean towards smaller & more conservative myself but that is just me. Blessings on your BA journey.

Hello, Your situation is one that I come across many times a year. I would suggest that you communicate your goals clearly with your plastic surgeon, who you have hopefully selected very carefully. Show him/her pictures of what you are trying to achieve, as well as breast that you consider too small or too big. Do not base your communication (or satisfaction with the outcome of the surgery) on achieving a specific cup size since a “full D cup” may mean different things to different people and can easily be a source of miscommunication. Hopefully, your plastic surgeon will use good judgment and emphasize safety 1st; use of a breast implant too large for your frame can be problematic for many reasons. Ultimately, YOU will need to make a decision about the breast size that will likely achieve your goals ( not your mother's); remember that the most common regret after this operation is “I wish I was bigger”. On the other hand, you do not want to go so big as to interfere with your activities and/or become “self-conscious” about your breast size. I hope this helps.

Thank you! I forgot that I should ask for a specific cup. I'm going to this friday to try on sizers. And yes I did a lot of research to find the right doctor. Thank you
