You look great I have consult with dr Rosen next month. I have heard the recovery is much shorter without drains. How was your swelling? And could you tell me more about how your recovery was??
Hi, Thank you! I def recommend Dr. Rosen. He really did an amazing job, I actually interviewed with 5 other Dr's before deciding on him. I noticed there isn't a lot of info about the drainless on this website, so I have pretty apprehensive about it, but honestly after having it done, in my opinion its really the only way to go. I have read and seen so many pics of the drains and the issues that come along with it, going thru it, I def would think it would be a slower recovery. I am about 5 weeks post op now and feel pretty much back to normal, I also had lipo of the flanks and to be honest that has caused more pain than the tummy tuck. The 1st week is pretty painful, but if you take the medications and just stay in bed, by week 2, you should be walking around pretty well, just hunched over.. I would say the back pain is worst part about it, my incision never really hurt, just felt a little tender and the pain in my abs is more of a burning sensation, like the feeling you get after an really intense ab work out. I did have swelling that I got freaked out about 3 days post op, but I was able to take a few pics and email them to Dr. Rosen and he was able to review and give me a call to let me know it was normal. I was back to work at 2 weeks. I have an office job, so as long as I am able to sit I felt good.. Standing for long periods of time does cause pain, but again its really the back pain from not being able to stand up straight. I can honestly say I expected the recovery to be a lot worse, but for me it wasn't to bad.. I was off pain meds 2nd week. Let me know if you have any other questions, I am happy to answer anything. =)
Thanks so much for the reply! Its awesome you are feeling so great! If you don't mind me asking, what other Dr's did you see? I want a tuck and a breast augmentation. I have 3 kids the smallest will be 3 by the time I get the surgery. Hoping for the fall sometime. How long after your consult was your surgery scheduled? I like the idea that a nurse sees you day after surgery and you go home with no drains. And Dr. Rosen's credentials are more then superior. thanks again for your time!
I went to Dr. Ganchi, Dr. Berleat, Dr Bidernardo, Dr. Gartner and Dr. Pyo. I too have small children a 2 year old and a 3 year old. You will not be able to pick up your children for 6-8 weeks, so be prepared, this has been very hard for my young ones, and my husband has definitely had to step up. I had my mother come up for the first week I was home, i would def make sure you have someone with you for the first 4 days for sure. It was nice that they sent a nurse to my house, it def made me feel comfortable and a little less worrisome. I made my final decision with Dr Rosen, not only on his credentials, but also because I couldn't find one bad review on him! His office staff is also very nice and professional. I was in a bit of a hurry to get mine done, so I had my consult 12/19 and got my surgery schedule for 2/9. I have no regrets and so glad i did the surgery, you will feel like a new person afterwards. =) if any more questions come to mind, please don't hesitate to ask. =)
