Overall rating

I tried to give 0 stars but the site doesn't allow that. Two years ago I made the biggest mistake of my life. I went for a consultation and was duped by phrases such as laser technology, and in office procedure, less downtime etc. I only had one small trouble spot below my belly button that would not respond to diet and exercise. The information was that this new technology was not like old fashioned lyposuction. When I asked the Dr what the risks are he said none, you have to wear a compression garment for a month. He also boasted that his technology would not just remove the fat, but also tighten my skin. It all sounded so perfect and worth the expensive cost. I had no idea I would end up permanently disfigured. I knew the second I took the garment off something was radically wrong in the area above my belly button, but the Dr said I needed to wait 3 months. In the meantime I shelled out even more money for massages as I hoped and prayed it would fix the damage. It didn't. Six months later the Dr tried a skin tightening procedure that involved another month in a compression garment and more massages. To his credit, he waived the fee of the procedure but hit me with Operating Room fees I believe a little more than $700. The procedure did nothing to remedy the deformity. 12 months later he did another smart lipo procedure under the premise he could fix the damage. He did not charge me money. The procedure failed miserably. In a post op discussion 3 months later he tried to blame my age for having loose skin, this coming from the man who boasted about his laser technology that would tighten my skin as it removed the fat during the original consultation. When I pointed out how awful I looked and explained that I was never embarrassed to take my shirt off but just wanted to tweek a small trouble spot, he defended his work by pointing out one area where fat had successfully been removed. He ignored the deformity he caused by attempting to tell me that my concern was in another zone, even though he operated on the entire area. His suggestion was for me to try another skin tightening method in his office and prescribed multiple treatments. After I felt nothing other than burning my stomach and no results, I stopped going because I realized it was a pipe dream for this process to undo the significant damage and put back fat in an area where he resected too much. I've never been back to the Dr. Even though he left me disfigured and I was supposed to return for more of his bogus skin treatments, do you think he reached out to me even once to see how I'm doing? To this day, I've never heard from him or received an apology. Today, I will not take my shirt off in public. I believe he remains negligent for never cautioning me about the risks of loose skin, lopsided unnatural disfigured appearance and I'm currently looking into any legal possibilities. Please stay away and don't make the same life changing decision I made.
