Tomorrow I will be getting my mommy makeover. This surgery consist of breast implants, hernia repair, muscle repair, lipo in two places and a tummy tuck. I am extremely nervous and mostly worried about pain management after. I'm 32 with three wonderful kids but I really need my body back.

Hi! I just found your review - it looks like you're a couple days post op? How's it going? I think the first 4 or 5 days post op were the hardest - just figuring out how to move around, get in and out of the recliner chair I had rented, etc. Do you have good support with your kiddos and husband? Remember to eat lots of protein and rest for healing. I think the biggest mistake we make is trying to get back to 'normal' too fast and push ourselves too hard early on. Healing is a full time job!!! I'm 8 months post op from a MM and it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm so grateful to have gone through with it! Let us know how you are doing.

Wow, 8 months. I do have a really good supposed system. But you are completely right just trying to get back to normal is really hard. Just trying to find the perfect position to sleep is the hardest and the lower back pains are a killer.

Ugh, yes! I'm afraid to tell you how long it took me to be able to sleep through the night - I don't want to be discouraging! Eeek. I think post op the first couple weeks it was just hard to sleep in a recliner chair/ reposition every few hours. After I switched back to my bed, I had weird ab contractions on and off all night for weeks (!!!) but that seemed unusual and other women I spoke to didn't have that problem. OOooff. Just do the best you can and remember that one day it'll be in the past! :)

Yes, I have been feeling those contractions. It's been on and off and feels really weird and I only feel it when in sitting down.

Mommy makeover post op day 3

So yesterday I went for my post op visit and so far I look 10x better than before. They pain seems to get worst at times but I've been taking the percocet and switching between the tylenol extra strength which has helped alot. My still trying to figure out the technique for massaging my breast. I also keep ice packs on my breast as well as my lower back to help me forget about the pain from the other areas of the surgery. I also cried yesterday which was a bit weird considering I had no reason too lol. I also when for a post op massage which hurt like hell so I'm considering waiting a few more days before I go get another one. Pics will be put up soon.

I think tears are so totally normal - some women on this site have talked about the post surgery blues. Its a huge ordeal to go through - like a shock to the system. Plus the anesthesia/pain meds probably make us all emotional too. Baby steps!

That makes me feel better for sure.

I am 2 day post op from my mommy makeover. I had breast implants, hernia repair, liposuction and tummy tuck. I'm in a bit of pain but Dr.Kagan explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. He was very kind as well as the staff. I can't wait until I heal so I can see the final results.
