Been a while since I updated. I am still having problems with swelling. It feels very tight and painful many times every day. The skin above my belly button is loose and floppy and fluid gathers on my hips and pours over my pants. I went to see a plastic surgeon up here for second opinion, since Dr.Lawson doesn’t seem to think there’s a problem, and he thinks I need a whole new tummy tuck became there’s is so much laxity there. My weight is stable, I workout regularly, it’s very frustrating to have such loose skin on my abs. Also, I’m less than thrilled with my belly button. Dr Lawton assured me that it would pull in as it healed and hide the scar, but instead it has stretched out and looks large with a prominent scar. I am going in late for my year check up with him next week, and I’ll see what he says. I don’t really want to go through surgery but I don’t want to be unhappy with my results, and I certainly don’t want to pay for it again!
I am still glad I did it, even with all these issues.

Quick Update

I know it’s been awhile. I’ve had a lot going on. At first it was great, but as time has gone on, I been having problems with swelling...to the tune of 15 lbs or so over a given weekend. I had started working out again, but that seemed to make it worse. I can’t tell how much is water retention and how much is actual weight gain, but it’s very disappointing.
Still worth it, of course, but I’ll feel better when it’s under control.

I find a direct link between the HEAT and my swelling. I can't wait til that goes away! You are looking amazing. You totally rock that bikini!

First of all, its so great to see/hear from you again!!! :) I think your pictures looks GORGEOUS!!!! I'm still swelling on and off too - my weight can fluctuate up to 3lbs between days. Definitely what alwayskay said - the Texas heat is exasperating it! I workout regularly and am definitely more swollen afterwards than when I first wake up. Just trust that your body knows what its doing. I also try to lay off salt and am strict on carbs because both of those contribute to swelling for me. I had popcorn during a movie over the weekend and could immediately feel the difference!!!

Yes swelling still seems to plague me as well. Usually on days I’m on my feet all day or when my period comes. And I’m almost 2 years post op too. I think you look wonderful girl and I hope that swelling calms down for you soon :)

I did finally get the swelling stabilized around October last year and my weight is stable around 140, which is what I weighted the time of my surgery. I have to take a daily diuretic though.

Swell hell, but getting better.

Well it was worse last week, but seems a little better now, despite doing some shopping. Drop and fluff coming along nicely. I felt pretty sore and tired after running around, but much better after a little rest.
