Weeks 4 to 6

WORTH IT$9,178
Amazed with how I feel great. Some days things feel tight and my breasts feel swollen but overall it’s going really well. Love my breast. Love the incision on my tummy tuck. I am not bothered by my belly button. I bought and wore a bikini and wore it in public!!

How was the first 2 weeks post op for you pain wise?
Hi There!! I was not near as bad as I thought it would be - I had worked it up in my head to be so scary and painful. I was really surprised to be able to manage the pain and be independent in that first week. Maybe you are best to just think it’s going to be really bad and you will have the same experience. LOL. Week 1 does Sucks - Not really painful, drugs work great but it’s just really uncomfortable!!! DAY 1 to 3 - take all the drugs you can :) I was taking every dose my Motrin/ Tramadol – set 2 alarms on my phone and they went off for every dose. DAY 4 - Tylenol worked instead of Tramadol. I made sure to keep each dose during the day and would take 1 Tramadol at night for Nights 5 & 6. This let me sleep through the night. I would sleep about 8 hrs and then take pain meds (just motrin and tylenol) as soon I woke up. AFTER DAY 7: I took Motrin for my swollen breasts and Tylenol only as needed – mostly if I needed a good sleep. I also used some Panaway(Youngliving oils) and muscle cream on my pecs and breast. Once the pump was removed - DAY 7 - I felt so much better. The stitch and the tube inside of you is very uncomfortable and you don't realize it’s the tube causing the discomfort until it’s removed. In my case, once I passed Week 1 my pain was minimal but I still had to take it easy - not saying there was not discomfort or limited movement. But week 2 was a cake walk compared to week 1 – and then it gets easier every week after. I hope you have the same luck. I think everyone is so different. Hopefully, you are able to get the rest you need and take care of yourself.
Thank you so much for all this! I wont have a pump just the two drain tubes for tummy tuck and no drains for the breast lift but you are right on the money...I am scaring myself about pain lol! I have been given Dilaudid & T 3's and I will make darn sure to follow the pain med schedule to a T on those and get off as soon as I can. My husband is home with me for 10 days and my Mom is with us too so help wise I am set- no little kids to worry about mine are all old as dirt lol! I go in next week and reading this makes me more excited than worried now :)
Sorry, I meant the Drain - not pump - Blonde moment :) I was lucky to only have one drain. Maybe because he wasn't able to do a full tummy tuck. I am glad I could set your mind at ease!! Good Luck and I can't wait to see your results!!
Awww that makes sense lol! I’ll definitely keep you posted and thank you! It feels like knowing you and everyonr that posts the real stuff that happens, gives those of us a true sense of what’s coming! The surgeons can answer medical parts but they aren’t patients so they really don’t know what will be felt and all that follows
You look great! How are you feeling now hun?
Feeling pretty good. I will admit my pecs are still weak but working slowly at regaining strength. But overall I feel really great. Loving the new me!! My abs are fabulous and strong. I do find sometimes I need to wear a supportive sports bra sometimes because the girls need more support.
Glad to hear you are doing well hun! Your strenght will keep coming back in your pecs. I love the size and shape of your breasts! I hear you on the bras. Some days they just feel heavy. I feel like my abs are stronger now than before surgery. It seems like ab workouts are easier now and I enjoy doing them! Hoping all continues to great for you!
Your review is what I was looking for before my surgery so of course now I find it at almost 2 weeks post. Hi, from one tall mama to another... haha

New lulu : First workout week

Finally working out again. I was ready to hit the dance floor for Jazzercise and run this week.

Run: went well. My torso is still tight. So my stride is not as fluid and long. This will come.

Jazzercise: Ok. No pushups, or pull ups for me. Planks were ok, but my core and pecs are so weak. But cardio was good and all other muscle groups were fine.
