WORTH IT$25,000
I knew I wanted this procedure after my first baby but knew I wanted another child. It's been a year and a half after having my second child that I went in for the whole deal. After the consult I was quoted about 8k over the actual cost, there was no way I could have afforded that much! After a few days I got a call saying there was a mis- calculation. It was now something within reach. I've never had a great stomach or breasts, after my first I did get a mini-lift and augmentation. It was good until the breasts dropped within the first 30 days, wasn't aware of that! I'd score them a good 6 out of 10 at that time however. After my 2nd baby ( breastfed both), my nipples seemed gigantic and my tummy just wasn't fixable with diet and exercise; I did both constantly! I'm 5'3 and always hang around 135lbs to give you an idea. Even in my best fit state, I still had the drudged " mommy pudge" that just flopped over my pants. Needless to say I committed to a one piece to hide the stretch marks and extra skin.
The mommy makeover went a lot faster than expected, it was about 6wks from my consult to my surgery date. My pre-opt was my second appointment scheduled two weeks before the D day. We talked about expectations and healing. Dr.Peters isn't one of those doctors who make you feel all warm and fuzzy. She was straight to the point and I almost felt like she was interviewing me rather than me interviewing her! I feel her style is to create a beautiful natural looking woman. I, on the other hand, wanted a more firm, harder, super high breast lol. I had doubts about my expectations and her capability; not that she wasn't great, but I doubted the results I wanted wasn't within her portfolio. I had originally found Dr Peters on Realself.com by the amazing work she's done, it's apparent in the photos. Once I reminded myself of that, I knew she was the doctor for the job. It wasn't about how she made me feel, but her talent spoke for her and I trusted it.
Surgery day was dreadful I won't lie. I hated being clear minded, scared, and nervous the entire time. Previously, In my last augmentation, I had a sedative that seemed to have taken the edge off. Dr Peters insisted that I be clear minded. It all went to plan, I had a full tummy tuck, lipo of the hips, a full breast lift with implant replacement. That's about 6 hours under the knife. Looking back, that's a ton of recovery that I'm still going through. Cost wise it was cheaper and I was in good health to have them all done in one go. The process wasn't to painful with the meds and ibuprofen, but the down time and being uncomfortable is a major struggle. I slept a lot for the first three days then was more mobile the second week. The drains were so annoying but nothing compared to the compression garment needing to be worn for six weeks! My breasts really weren't any trouble, but the lipo felt like I was hit in the back with a bat. The lipo pain while trying to lay back with the tummy tuck soreness was tough! It really wasn't until week three that I felt better moving and could stand upright. I couldn't see most of the work until the bandages came off after two weeks. It wasn't pretty, but I felt like it looked better then what I've seen online. When the bandages come off the stomach incision .. woah.. it was just like a wax of the pubic hair!! Be prepared mommas. Everything looks really good to me. I'm healing great and I'm dying to get to the gym. Dr.Peters is no-doubt talented and I'm happy I went through with it all. My advise is to just be prepared for everything you and your family will need to go through to have this done. Im excited to see what I can do with this new body in the next 6 months. I've only dreamed of wearing a crop top . They say recovery is really 12 months for full results... Good luck!

What do you mean by the Doctor wanted you clear minded? Like no general anesthesia? You were awake for the surgery?

Not sure why my photos didn't post! I'm about 4-5 weeks post and my stomach is still tight, numb, and hard around the areas they cut. Can't wait to toss out my garment :). I went back to work after 3 weeks which was also over the holidays. I do recommend having help for the first 3 days.

Your tummy is so flat now and tiny! Congrats

You look great! I am 10 weeks post op and I thought I would not wear the compression garment one second longer than needed. My ps said I could stop wearing it after 4 weeks but I still wear it during the day because the support feels good and it keeps the swelling down. Hope your recovery continues to go smoothly!

I think it’s mostly the shorts/ crotch area that really bugs me, not even the stomach part :). Are you still pretty numb and some swelling still at 10 weeks?
January 21, 2020
Yes I hate the crotch on them too! Gotta be careful not to pee on the crotchless ones and unhooking and closing the hook kind is a pain! I had some swelling in my thighs for a while and the seams in the crotch rubbed me. I folded up a little toliet paper and put it between the garment and my thighs. It worked like a charm! I do still have swelling. Although now I don't think it is obvious to look at but I feel like my skin is tightening and the swelling makes especially my lower really tight and a little pressure especially at the end of the day. Yes still numb below the belly button. I really notice a difference when I wear my compression garment. That's why I still wear it. But I had read not to wear it all the time after so many weeks because the lymphatic system needs to work without the help of the compression or it can get dependant on the compression.

Thank you! I'm still nervous about what I can in the gym without messing things up! I have seen YouTubers that have popped stiched months /year after their surgery!
