Decided to have a MMO with a doctor that worked at this facility. A week before the surgery, they fire the doctor. I’d made the payment and they said I would not get full credit because I had signed a contract with them, not the doctor.
Against my gut, I decided to choose another doctor with Avana so as not to loose the deposit.
The surgery experience was traumatic!
They give you appointments times, patient shows up on time and they leave you waiting in the wait area for hours. The consult with the surgeon felt rushed. The worst comes when you’ve just had major surgery, haven’t even woken up from the anesthesia and they are rushing you out the door to get the next patient in! I can’t even describe the pain after being cut up from hip to hip and taken out to a car!
There was minimal follow up after the procedure.
I travelled from Canada to Miami for the surgery and stayed in Miami for 3 weeks to make sure I was supported. I had 2 appointments , felt completely rushed at each of them. Once home my incision opened up and I called them. That was the only time I felt appropriately taken care of because I got to speak to their follow up nurse practitioner and she advised me on how to take care of the wounds.
Other than that, no aftercare.
The original doctor charged more for the MMO than the surgeon who I ended up going with. After all was said and done, they were supposed to return about $6500. Per their policy, it states refunds take 40-60 business days. It’s now been 4 months and they just informed me they will be returning the money $1000 a month. If it were me owing them, I’d be in collections!!
This facility is unprofessional and disrespectful all around.
The results of the procedure are borderline satisfactory. I will require revision of the incision due to all the openings from spitting stitches. My breasts were asymmetrical prior to implants. I wasn’t even offered different size implants to try to fix the asymmetry so now I just have larger asymmetrical breasts.
Do yourself a huge service and stay away from this place. My hope is that by warning others it will keep them from making the same mistake I did.
