Mommy Makeover

ORIGINAL POST

Just starting out !!!

AKthrills
WORTH IT$24,000
I am researching for a “mommy makeover” with maybe some extra stuff added on. I would like something done with my jowel area / double chin and maybe a high quality chemical peel.
I am currently 37 years old. 5’ 5 3/4” tall and 170.4 lbs. i am a busy mom of 4, attending college to become an RN and a CrossFit coach and athletes.
I put a deposit down at doctor Mel Ortega with Spectrum Aesthetics in Miami after receiving my consult info. via online emails. (I live in Alaska) I will also have a consult in person during the month of March to with Dr. Suver who is a local plastic surgeon In Anchorage. I am torn between leaving to Florida and staying in a recovery our for 2 weeks or doing my surgery here ....
This is the start of my journey. I am going to be getting a Tummy Tuck, possible muscle repair, breast lift with gummy bear implants ,lipo any where and everywhere and the double chin/ jowel thing. My plan is to schedule for end of May/ beginning of June 2020.
I will be working on getting my weight to a healthy 150 lbs and taking care of my body prior to surgery to have the best possible outcome.

Hi there!!! I must say getting my mommy makeover in December was the best decision of my life. So good for you too!!! Now I was scheduled first with Dr.ortega in Miami. but something came over me weeks before and I canceled. I live in Pennsylvania and that means I to would have had to stay somewhere for 10 days. Tho, many ppl travel to get surgery in different places, you have to keep in mind you have to return to the office to follow up or if there's an emergency. It would cost a fortune to travel and God for bid you get an infection. Not to many doctors will touch another doctor's work. Especially, long distance procedures from places like Florida. Not saying this doctor isn't good but I heard that office looks like a dispensary. Waiting area packed with ppl getting procedures and waiting your turn. I totally didn't want to feel I was just another procedure next in line. For such a serious procedure as a mommy makeover, you want to feel safe and connected to the physician. I tell ya, many things came to mind suddenly. I'm so happy I canceled and found my doctor near my home. It took 7 different appointments to find my guy. Of course I paid a lot more money near home but It was worth every dollar. Dr. Raymond Jean changed my life forever.

I heard the same thing about that place being packed like sardines etc. Also I agree stay close to home in case of an emergency. I developed open wounds under my breasts at the T junction which is very common. Another RS user had a MM and developed a large open wound on her TT incision. Not trying to scare you but just be open & honest. It may cost more but it’s worth it in the end. I seen reviews where ladies have gone out of the country to save money and almost die or have terrible results. Please consider all your options. Keep us updated! ❤️

Doctor decided

I met with Dr. Suver this week. I have decided to go with him for my mommy makeover instead of flying to Miami. He is board certified in plastic surgery, has great reviews, he is kind and very knowledgeable and I feel comfortable with him as a surgeon. He is also local... so if any problems arise, I have him close by. Planning surgery for the end of May 2020.
I am going to spend this year taking care of my body and getting it in the best possible shape so I can achieve the best possible outcome!

I lost 60+ lbs by using a smaller plate so I would eat smaller portions. I cut out all sugar, salt and caffeine. I walked several times a week, 1-2 miles each time. So overall I would walk 5-8 miles a week and a lot of times I brought the dog. I hope you find a plan that works best for you. Good luck and thanks for sharing your journey! ❤️
