So my procedure went really well. The first night was hell. I couldn’t breathe and felt claustrophobic and like I was hyperventilating the entire night. I slept for 30 minutes at a time. But....it got better. And when I looked in the mirror I could already see a huge difference. He decided to go without drains so I wasn’t sure what it would be like. Breasts don’t hurt at all.
Fast forward almost two weeks post op. One breast sits a little higher than the other but I’m hoping that will get better. My waist is getting increasingly smaller. I feel good. I wish I could hold my baby, that’s probably the hardest thing. I still have some swelling in my back and sides but overall I feel great!

So I’m 5 days Po and loving what I’m seeing so far! But I itch like crazy. Doc said I can’t remove the tape over the incisions until I see him Tuesday. But the itch is so bad. I’ve taken two very fast showers as instructed. I get little twinges of pain in my breasts but not horrible. There’s a spot on my left hip that the skin ruptured from swelling but it’s getting better. How is everyone else doing? Any words of advice?

Thank you! It seems like recovery the first week was real tiresome, but this past week I feel so much more normal! I go in for my appointment with doc tomorrow to get stitches out. How are you feeling?

Today was by far the worst for recovery. I generally have a pretty good pain tolerance however I’ve been pretty dependent on then to function. I have a lot of bruising on my back and backside. But overall it wasn’t horrible. My breasts are starting to burn in the incision area. But I’m sure that’s normal. I’ll shower tomorrow and share some new pictures.
