Hello flatside!!

So my procedure went really well. The first night was hell. I couldn’t breathe and felt claustrophobic and like I was hyperventilating the entire night. I slept for 30 minutes at a time. But....it got better. And when I looked in the mirror I could already see a huge difference. He decided to go without drains so I wasn’t sure what it would be like. Breasts don’t hurt at all.
Fast forward almost two weeks post op. One breast sits a little higher than the other but I’m hoping that will get better. My waist is getting increasingly smaller. I feel good. I wish I could hold my baby, that’s probably the hardest thing. I still have some swelling in my back and sides but overall I feel great!

A little frustrated but I know good things are coming.

So I’m 5 days Po and loving what I’m seeing so far! But I itch like crazy. Doc said I can’t remove the tape over the incisions until I see him Tuesday. But the itch is so bad. I’ve taken two very fast showers as instructed. I get little twinges of pain in my breasts but not horrible. There’s a spot on my left hip that the skin ruptured from swelling but it’s getting better. How is everyone else doing? Any words of advice?

3 days PO update

Today was by far the worst for recovery. I generally have a pretty good pain tolerance however I’ve been pretty dependent on then to function. I have a lot of bruising on my back and backside. But overall it wasn’t horrible. My breasts are starting to burn in the incision area. But I’m sure that’s normal. I’ll shower tomorrow and share some new pictures.

Dr. Philpott is an artist! I came to his office for a consultation and spent months deciding on what procedures I truly wanted. I’m so thankful I chose him. He has been great throughout my entire journey. His staff is competent and extremely helpful. They are willing to answer any questions I have/had. Dr. Philpott is very knowledgeable in his field and knew exactly what would bring me the greatest results for my procedure. He is a true professional and I would do it again!
