WORTH IT
11 weeks post op and things are pretty good.
The numbness and tingling in my tummy incision seems to be going away. It’s still red but very thin. My breast incisions are good but my right is definitely better. I’m using bio oil but I’m not sure if it’s working. I’ve ordered NewGel+ and am going to see if that’s better
I’m still swelling occasionally. If I’ve eaten badly it’s worse. I’ve worn my binder a few times to help reduce it.
I love the shape of my breasts but I am shocked by how much the implant settled. I definitely could have gone bigger and may end up doing that in the long run
Over all I’m still loving the new me. :)

7 weeks PO

Well it seems like it’s been along haul! 7 weeks post op and I’m doing pretty good!
My tummy still swells quite badly from time to time especially if I’ve ate badly and have been busy on my feet all day. If I do swell I just put my binder back on and it goes away. I still have stretch marks and some fat lol BUT I I’d just get a mini tuck because he didn’t have the excess skin to pull more unless I’d be ok with a vertical scar where my belly button was. I didn’t want that and I didn’t want my bellybutton moved. He told me after he’d only removed 900gr of skin and fat on my lower tummy and about 300gr fat with lipo of my upper tummy (no MR needed). My mons area was definitely lifted but I think it looks way better! I wanted to be able to have my clothes fit me better (which they do when I’m not swollen). I’m not planning on wearing any belly shirts in my future so I’m good with my tummy.
I’m starting to work out again so I’m hoping I learn to love my thighs!!! Wow do they seem huge now. I’ve always had thick thighs but now they seem very big! I’m asking him about lipo in about 6 months if I’m not still not liking them.
My boobs are definitely better than before but I’m surprised with how much they have settled! I definitely could’ve gone bigger but then would they have just sagged more? These are “mine” plus 240cc implants. They feel and look VERY real which is what I told him I wanted. My nipples are HYPER sensitive to the point I’m wearing pads over my nipples so the world doesn’t think I’m cold!!! Haha!!! They look great in a nice bra.
My scars are really amazing. Very thin and already fading. I’m using bio oil but not as regularly as I should be. There’s still numb spots but the feeling is slowly coming back.
All in all... I’m very happy with my results and think I look pretty good for my age. :)

33 days

33 days post op and I’m LOVING my new body. I’m far from perfect but my results have been beyond what I’d expected. PLUS I am 51 so I can’t expect to be Barbie :)
I have developed a small infection in my left breast. I called as soon as I noticed any redness and got on antibiotics. It’s the same area where I had a stitch poke though. The stitch had retracted before this so maybe when it did, something got in and caused an issue. I didn’t have a fever, the area was not hot, just red. It hasn’t spread at all so I’m just keeping a close eye on it and will call again if there’s no improvement.
I do kinda wish I’d gotten bigger implants now that they have settled but I wanted them to look natural and I really think they do. I have full feeling everywhere on my breasts and nipples and my incisions are totally closed and so thin!!!
The results I’ve gotten from a mini tummy tuck is beyond good. I’m still feeling quite tight but love my waist. I wish I’d gotten more lipo in the hip area but it could be swelling. I’m going to address this with him when I see him at 8 weeks PO. I MAY see if we can do a little more and possibly my thighs.
My incision looks unreal. Smoothing out more and more each day. It’s very fine. I’m still numb around the incision but am getting small electric shock feelings and tingling so I think that my nerves are repairing. I did have an issue with an inner stitch but even that is looking better. I still swell a fair bit and wear my binder or spanx during the day but don’t sleep with either on.
All in all... this is the best decision I’ve ever made for ME. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. If you’re on the fence, I say do it. The recovery sucks but in the end it’s worth it :)

My surgery date is getting closer. What supplies do you think I should have? Thank you
March 24, 2019
I had made sure I had food prepped so there was easy stuff to eat. Tylenol, polysporin, gauze pads (lots! I had several sizes) pantyliners worked great for wearing under the binder so it didn’t rub (I have a post on how I did it) make sure you use gentle skin tape. I didn’t first time and literally peeled off my skin. Lots of pillows for your bed so you can stay propped up. If your bed is higher like mine, a small step tool is handy!

I would add poop pills !! And I took Elderberry gummies daily to not get sick but I have young germy kids. I had a walker but used only on first day because I was alone / if you are in Calgary you can have it.
I also bought a giant straw water bottle from Starbucks and had it beside me all day- to force myself to drink a TON of water. :)

Forgot about the poop pills!
I also had small cans of ginger ale and I also did the giant water bottle!

Thank you. I have constipation problem already so that bothers me quite a bit. My mother has a walker at home, will use it. Thanks for offering
