Maybe I’m the odd one out - thick scarring, capsular contracture & dog ears
Maybe I’m the odd one out
I will start off with the positives. The consultation process is easy, you submit photos through a secure chat called Klarna and get a response within a few days with their recommendation. This comes from a coordinator. One I got my quote I paid my deposit and was easily able to pay off the rest of my balance over the months before my procedure. Overall my price was fair, less expensive than surgeons near my in CA but more than other places located in Miami. Labs were sent 6 weeks prior to surgery and I got them completed by my PCP. For my pre-op appointment it was scheduled at 10:45 or 11am I don’t remember. I was called back to the room a few minutes passed where I changed and did some photos with the nurse. I then sat there until after 1 on and did have to question what was going on and they said she was still in surgery. Fine no big deal it happens. Dr.Vidal herself is extremely sweet and I did feel like she listened to what I was saying. I did NOT get to see any actual implant sizes, just the one they have to feel. She choose a size she thought would be best for what I was asking. I signed all my paperwork and went home. Day of surgery they had a cute room set up with a card, I changed and within an hour I was being walked back for my procedure. I did wake up in a lot of pain but was treated immediately, I know I had a long time to recover because I am a difficult Pt when it comes to waking up. I only took the pain medication for one day and then took Tylenol. My post op appointment was brief, she looked at my incisions and had one of my drains pulled. I continued massages ect once I got home and followed all post op instructions. Here are my cons: I KNOW SURGERY IS A GAMBLE That being said I was spitting sutured left and right. My belly button split open within a week as well as my breast and a spot on my hip. This has left with me with some really ugly thick scarring. I did develop a capsular contracture on my left breast which is extremely painful. I have been in contact with the office about it and have been prescribed singulair. Unfortunately for me there has been no change but they want to refill the prescription and keep waiting, fine. My other issue is that I did make not prior to surgery that I had weird fat deposits and loose skin on my hips she said she would go further around my hips. I don’t have an extended incision and as a result have prominent dog ears on both sides. I did get lipo to the flanks as well but I have major fat pockets on other side that makes it look like I have four boobs. Everyone’s pictures I saw looked great so I’m hoping I’m just the odd one out l. Wish it wasn’t me but I guess that’s the risk you take. Hoping I can eventually get a revisions so I can look at myself in the mirror again.
