46 year old mother of nine. I had wanted a tummy tuck for years to repair abdominal separation. I tried to fix it myself with three years of Crossfit and clean eating.I interviewed four PS’s. I chose Dr Rumalla because he is easy to talk to and he was the first PS that didn’t insist that I needed implants. My recovery has not been ideal and was much more difficult than I imagined however Dr. Rumalla has been amazing.Cons of surgery: very long recovery, you will need a lot of help. I could hardly do anything for myself for two weeks. My belly is very tight at 8 weeks post but I still look boxy. The swelling is a real drag. My body is swollen everywhere not just my middle. My weight is up 10 pounds even though the doctor took off 6 pounds of flesh and fat.I got cording in my right arm.I had DVT and was hospitalized for pulmonary embolism.Pros: breasts are amazing. The lift results are better than I imagined. Even with all the problems and long recovery I’m hoping with more time the benefits will become more significant.

Thank you for sharing your story and advice. It seems like recovery always takes longer than you expect, so it's good to have help. I'm glad you're doing well, even after being hospitalized afterwards. It'll all be worth it in the end!

I'm sorry about the DVT. I had one after my c-section twin birth, and that pain when you can't breathe, it's . . . intense. Where was your clot? Mine was pelvic.
