Yesterday I had my surgery. It was a rough first night at the surgical suite.Everything is so tight and heavy you feel like you cant breathe. I wasnt prepared for that. The lack of sleep with all the drugs had me loopy. Glad to be home. Not gonna lie everything is super sore and movement is slow. I had a scare right when getting home had alot of bloody oozing. But everything is fine now. I know the next few days ate gonna be the hardest. Have my follow up on Sunday

Overall I am moving better. Pain is tolerable Still using norco a few times a day. The swelling in last parts is tender and painful and I had a BM yesterday. Thank you senna S. I have still been struggling with nutrition and fluids so I'm still battling some nausea and vasovagal response. I attempted to remove my compression to shower. My husband was ever so patient. It was unsuccessful I almost passed out and pooped myself.hubby was great about it. He got on the toilet and washed me up there. We will try to shower again today

This past week has gone by fast. I dont feel like I'm doing as well as I should. I'm still very sore but its tolerable and I'm still only able to walk a few laps around my main floor every few hours. Literally everything is exhausting.Im trying to remind myself that this was an extensive procedure and it's going to take time. I had a post op appt. today and doc said everything is looking really good. That was reassuring. Got some stitches out and tape changed. Will post pics later.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm getting my mommy makeover on 8/31. Do you have any recommendations for things I should buy/prepare for that you didn't expect?

A shower chair. Super comfy lounge pants that have minimal elastic any pressure to the abdomen can be uncomfortable. A water jug that helps measure intake. They were wanting me to drink 100oz/day initially. Everyone is different when it comes to bowel movements but have everything from miralax senna and enema available
