Not Sure if It Was Worth It

My experience with the doctor was good but not great. Back story, I saw a general surgeon for my umbilical hernia, I have 4 children and I carried very pointy/football style so my belly button never went back in. My youngest is 3 1/2 and yes, my belly button has always bothered me but not until I had a sharp weird pain in the middle of the night did I decide to go to the drs about it. After speaking to the general surgeon on the procedure I would need to get it repaired and the potential out of pocket cost I would have I decided to look into getting a tummy tuck with a plastic surgeon since both surgeries would leave me with a hip to hip scar.
After a few virtual and in person consultations with PS I learned that I was limited on who will preform a TT with an actual umbilical hernia that needs to be repaired. I was between Dr. Bensimon and another PS in my area. I choose Dr. Bensimon because of his Drainless method and his post work pictures scares look so much better!
The reason I have taken a while to post my review (I am almost 3 months Post Op) is because I am not super thrilled with my results and I have wanted to give it time to see what changes and maybe I will feel different. I don't! My Tummy tuck is not very tight, I feel like I need way more lips, My scar is high on the sides not easily hidden without having to wear high waisted bottoms, My flanks/love handles seem like I got zero lipo and I still have a significant amount of stretch marks.
I also decided to do a breast augmentation at the same time and I really think the scars are low and can be seen as soon as I raise my arms in a bra. My boobs don't seem like they are the same size and that has been mentioned to me from a friend just 3 weeks post op with clothes on and everything. I also think I needed a lift and so I would not be comfortable going braless even though I just paid how much for this.
Yes, my stomach is flatter, my bellybutton is back to normal but really I do not feel like a new women. I still have to be careful what I wear. I am constantly pulling up my jeans to hide my scar on the sides and am really not sure if it was worth it.
I’m going to try to add more pictures but right now they are to large to add it says.

I actually think you had a good result with your tummy tuck. It looks like you didn't have a lot of skin to remove before hand, and tummy tucks can't get rid of all the stretch marks unless you have a lot of skin to pull down. Your incision doesn't seem that high to me? But I understand your frustration about having to pull things up to hide the scars. Plus, you're only three months out. You probably still have some swelling but I do understand your concern that maybe he didn't Lipo enough? Something to talk to your surgeon about. Did you have any complications with the drainless? I had read somewhere that someone said when you have a dream less they don't pull as much skin down as a traditional with drains but I don't know if that's true or not. I can't comment on your augmentation because I've never had that but I do see your concern. I would discuss all with your PS the next time you see him. I do think you look at though! Maybe our expectations are just high going into surgery hoping to correct everything we don't like about ourselves but maybe sometimes it's not possible.

This picture really shows how high up my incision is on my hip. I drew a line so you can see it is clearly all the way up to my bellybutton on the sides. I do not feel like this was a life altering surgery let alone one worth the amount I paid. Some days I wish I would have just done the hernia repair and then did a mommy makeover because I would have been able to have a much wider selection of PS. I have addressed my concerns with my PS and he doesn’t exactly here or see my concerns and says my results are great. I got a quote for lipo, flanks back and bra strap another $10,000. I think that is way to much especially since I’m not overly thrilled in the first place. Also I do have a short torso but I have not seen others with this problem on here

I agree, your scar is high on the sides. You can really tell in that picture. If you really want a revision of your scar & lipo I would definitely seek another PS to do it
