WORTH IT
As the wife of a specialized physician in interventional cardiology, I know first hand the importance of choosing a surgeon with exemplary education, training, and experience. Dr. Cohen’s reputation for precision with scar/incision lines, specialized focus on breast and body work, extensive portfolio of before/afters, confidence in what will give the best results, and the incredible aftercare offered were all reasons that led to me choosing him. I went into my first ever plastic surgery with complete peace and confidence. My phenomenal results reaffirmed Dr. Cohen’s incredible skills and the detailed care he takes to restore and enhance the body’s natural beauty. I am beyond happy with my results after four children and working hard to get my body in shape, Dr. Cohen was able to put things back in place I was unable to do for myself without surgery.

My recovery was quick and smooth as a result of going into surgery very fit and healthy, taking advantage of staying three days at the office’s private after care (Aura Aftercare), taking the Vitamedica surgery recovery kit, renting a medical recliner for a few days to help with mobility, lymphatic drainage, and hyperbaric chamber sessions. It was a high investment, but well worth every penny!

surgery.

My scars are looking beautiful and I will try to post again further out to show the scars healing.

Breast lift (no implants) with fat grafting to upper pole (80cc), lipo on flanks/bra fat, full tummy tuck.

Wow!! You look incredible - congratulations! I would love to be 4 weeks post surgery!

I am planning to do a full tt in the Scottsdale area - thank you for posting! I really appreciate the before and after care that you mentioned.

You must not have had much lipo done? I have a theory that less lipo usually means better incision/ results so I’m wondering if I should try to minimize lipo for myself. Congratulations- I hope the healing continues to go well

Thx! I don’t think he did much lipo, he said he actually wasn’t able to get a lot of “good” fat for the fat grafting to breast. But the lipo he did was to contour the body, so I trusted him to do what would make me look the best, but not going overboard. I wanted to be conservative on the lipo.

I wish I could snap my fingers and be where you are! I'm so nervous about it! I also work hard to stay in shape. I wrote Dr. Cohen's office today. Do you think a medical recliner is better than renting a medical bed? Lymphatic drainage - is that massages? Did you do those in home? Are you in Arizona or California? How frequently did you do massages and hyperbaric chamber sessions? I've waited 15 years since my youngest was born to do this... so I want to do it right! Thank you so much!!

Also, did you have drains? I'm sorry for so many questions! Don't feel obligated to answer all of them - you look amazing!! If I could replicate exactly what you did, I'd like to!

Yes I had one drain and I was nervous about it, but it ended up being no big deal. Also, it didn’t hurt at all when it was removed.

I went to his CA office for surgery and flew in from Idaho.

Yes absolutely the medical recliner because it actually helps lift you to standing. Then you do not need much assistance after a few days of getting some of your strength back. Plus if you sleep in it, you have less chance of rolling to your side. In the bed you need to put pillows all around you to keep you on your back.

My youngest is 13, so I totally get it! Now having gone through it I would say don’t be scared! Cohen is incredible. The first four days were the hardest, but you have so much pain medicine and other meds to help you relax and feel good, so if you stay on top of the meds you will be great!

I have some post surgery notes already written:

Surgery experience

-Keep mints on hand/pocket to quell coughing (painful to couch/sneeze/laugh post tummy tuck)
-raised toilet seat for 3 days helped a lot
-Vitamedica ultimate surgery recovery bundle (begin 1-2 wks pre surgery). I did this on my own and asked the office if it was okay to take. They said yes.
-daily protein shakes start before surgery and continue after for 12 wks recovery (core Fairlife chocolate protein are so good)
-Lume deodorant wipes for post surgery sponge bathing
-High protein, high complex carbs post surgery foods
-miralax (brought my own and started day after surgery along w stool softeners they give you)
-daily multivitamin

-stopped working out 5 days pre-surgery (6 wks post, I am at 135lbs currently).

Auracare aftercare Benefits:
-catheter for 24 hrs (no having to get out of bed for bathroom)
-Iv drip to stay hydrated
-Aura 2-3 nurses to help w meds and getting in and out of bed
-medical bed (can control top and bottom incline)
-leg compression stockings and electronic compressors when in bed with Lovenox shots in leg to prevent blood clots (walking also helps w this)
-walker to use for getting to bathroom and short walks

Friday (surgery day):

Sat - day after surgery
-catheter out, use walker to get around w assistance of nurses gently/slowly rotating and lift you in and out of bed
-each time I used the bathroom I
would walk around for 10 min or so to circulate blood and help tummy loosen.

Seriously, you are the best!! I am printing your notes. That was so crazy helpful. I have over-thought about this for so long. Now, I just want to copy someone who did it right. Thank you! That was really kind of you!!

You’re welcome!!!!
July 8, 2023
Hi! I have surgery next week with Dr. C. Who did you use for hyperbaric (outside of Dr C’s office?) and lymphatic massage. Thank you!!
July 11, 2023
I used Vanessa! If you ask the office (Shayla) can give you her number. She was fantastic!
July 11, 2023
Vanessa for lymphatic, she will come to Aura Aftercare and/or your hotel.

Hyperbaric was at Aura Aftercare and Cohen’s office.

7 month pic update

lisapnw
This was about 7 months post op. It is hard to take a good pic, I feel like it looks a lot better in person ;) Especially bent over, no more saggy sad breasts! The breast scars are very faded. The stomach continues to fade and it much less than early on. I think it will continue to improve as I get closer to the 1 year mark.
