Update
To those who are looking and doing there research and is interested in Avana plastic surgery. This review is for you. I highly recommend that you look into a different facility. Below is an updated picture on how the wound look. If you have read the initial review I posted you will see where Avana replied and stated that someone will contact me, they have not. I had to call 3x multiple times and leave multiple complaining messages just to get a video conference call with Dr. Dress where he didn’t even acknowledge my concerns, my wound progression. The least he could have said was “I apologize that you are going through this” but NO I couldn’t even get that.

I had surgery on 12/15 and I have yet to see Doctor Dress post-op. I found it highly unprofessional to have had major surgery and he not assess me afterwards to make sure everything is healing right or if I am even happy with the results. I felt uncomfortable being assessed by a Medical Assistant seeing that they are not licensed professionals and DO NOT have the scope of practice to be able to assess, educate not treat patients!!!
Prior to me leaving I was assessed buy the nurse practitioner. I informed her of my concerns regarding necrosis of my incision. She looked it over and as she removed the tape she noted that the incisions was beginning to open up. She told me to apply Bacitracin ointment and ABD Pad and to leave the tape off of that section. I’m not sure if she informed Dr. Dress regarding the incision and or my concerns since I requested to be contacted by him multiple times and all the staff refused to allow me to get in touch with him.
