Finally had my surgery but it was a total shocker

I arrived in Istanbul turkey on Thursday and got to my hotel by almost midnight. I was super tired so just went straight to bed and set my alarm to meet aytul in hotel foyer at 7 am. I met aytul( surgery coordinator) at 7am and walked across the road to the medicana hospital. It was clean and well equipped. We went to aytul office signed some paper work and went to my hospital room. Also clean and modern. I then paid for my surgery. Only problem I had is the surgery coordinators started changing the agreed price and trying to make me pay 7000 pounds instead of the agreed 4500 pounds. I was getting very annoyed. Eventually I paid but ended up paying a total of 5700 instead of 4500 pounds because I needed a breast lift as well. Anyhoo. Payment out the way I went back to my room doctor came and marked me up I got on my surgical own and my the bed was here to pick me up for surgery. Got wheeled into surgery, nobody spoke any English, they indicated for me to move onto surgical table I did now I was very nervous all of a sudden I had an iv in my arm and some fluid going into my vein. Boom I was out. I woke up 7 hours later in the most excruciating pain I could ever imagine. I knew something was wrong. I was screaming for nurses they left me in my room and closed the door. I didn’t even know where the bell was. I screamed for one hour saying help pls I’m in pain. Eventually an irritated nurse came in and I was crying and saying pain pain I got my phone out on google translate and wrote down I’m In terrible pain. She then walked off and came back with some iv paracetamol obviously this did nothing and left me crying and screaming. She came back moaned at me in Turkish and said no pain u get iv look.( pointing at the paracetamol) I begged and pleaded. Another nurse came in and said in English I call doctor. 1 min later my doctor was on the phone and asked me why is wrong ( he does speak English) I told I’m I can’t tolerate the pain to which he replied I’ll tell the nurse to give u the strong one. 5 min later I got the strong one. It took away enough of the pain that I was able to sleep for one hour but woke to complete hell again. Long story short I had internal bleeding which ruptured my sutures and needed emergency surgery the following morning. Spent Friday and Saturday night in icu on ventilators and got two blood transfusion. Thank of that is over. Today is day 3 after surgery and feeling much better but I can confidently say that if I knew I would experience so much pain and anguish I would never ever had gotten the surgery. I posted some pics of my current shape. Pray for me x

It’s almost time!

I am just under a week out from my surgery in turkey. I have been racking my brains thinking about things I need and might have missed or questions I haven’t thought of yet to ask my PS. Am I overthinking? Possibly! But I’d rather know too much than be blindsided. I’ve also (fortunately or unfortunately) been watching obsessive episodes of botched and reading hundreds of reviews. I dunno if it’s a good thing because going into other surgeries I didn’t really investigate prior to surgery and I wasn’t nervous at all but I can feel I’m starting to get a bit nervous! I’ve heard the pain is baaaaad. I’ve had 4 Caesarean sections in the past and the pain was bearable. I’ve also had a bl and small implant. Pain was fairly bad and I was throwing up for days. I also had very light Lopo in Brazil on my tummy about 6 years ago and honestly the pain was intense. So combine all of those and basically that’s what I’ll be dealing with. I hope they have good pain relief in turkey because I am not one to keep quiet when I’m in pain. I’ll be ordering those nurses to bring me every narcotic they have. Lol
So far I’ve packed most of my essentials, pyjamas and my cg! Just hoping I haven’t forgotten something I’ll be kicking myself for later! Any suggestions on secret tips on what to pack would be greatly appreciated. I’ll update again once I’m in turkey. See u on the flight side dolls!

Getting closer to D day!

So I have been getting everything in order for the surgery day. I’m going to turkey in the 8th and I’ll be away for 10 days. Having four kids means a lot of planning so my husband hasn’t got too much to worry about. We do t have any grandparents to help us out as both of our parents passed. It’s times like these you really really miss your mom. Not just for the help with the kids but just for some reassurance and just to tell you your making the right choice and everything will be ok. Husbands are great don’t get me wrong but a mother always makes you feel safe secure and like even if you don’t wake up your family will be ok. I have been stressing so much reading all the horror stories and botch jobs that I’ve actually become super tense! I haven’t heard any horrors about my doctor yet or Avrupamed but hey maybe I haven’t looked in the right places! I would regret it for the rest of my life if I ended up in a worse off position. I definitely can’t afford to be botched. My kids need me! Any moms out there felt the same? Anybody know of anybody or heard of anyone going through Avrupamed? I certainly have read other horror stories about some surgery in turkey but nothing bad about Avrupamed. Here are some wish pics and current shape. [RS bleep]
