Makeover for a Mommy of Two

For as long as I can remember, I have never been happy with my body. I was “chunky” as a kid, and became overweight as an adult...even moreso after two pregnancies. At my heaviest, I topped over 200 lbs (at 5’5”)!

After my second daughter was born, I lost over 65 lbs. I counted calories and started running, and even ran my first half-marathon. But I was still unhappy with my body. I wanted a lean muscular body, but with all that running I was just “skinny fat”.

Since then I’ve started weightlifting and have put on loads of muscle, but my body continues to hold me back. The two pregnancies have left me with a diastasis recti that will require surgery to fix. Having breastfed both babies, my boobs are deflated and saggy with zero upper pole fullness.

I’ve decided to have a Mommy Makeover in the hopes of restoring my core function and my confidence. I am the healthiest I’ve ever been, yet my outsides don’t reflect all the hard work I’ve done improving the insides. Currently in the hunt for a good surgeon in the North Carolina area!

Yesterday I booked a consultation for a Mommy Makeover with Davis & Pyle (Dr. Pyle) for shortly after the new year! It’s starting to feel real! I’m excited but nervous... stay tuned!

Pre-op scheduled for March 5th!

My consultation with Dr. Pyle went great, so I paid my deposit and booked a surgery date! My pre-op appointment is on March 5th, and I’ll be having surgery on 3/16! Full mommy makeover to include tummy tuck, light lipo, BL and BA. I’m still undecided on implant size, and I’m freaking out as we get closer to surgery.
Mostly I’m scared that I won’t be happy with the results; I mean, I’ve been unhappy with my body for SO long that it seems like a pipe dream that I could actually be satisfied with my appearance. All I can do is think positively and pray that I chose the right surgeon!

I am 9 days post op and it is the best thing I ever did. The results are way better than I even imagined. One tip......make sure you completely clear your schedule for at least 2 weeks cause you won't be able to do anything. Week 2 you start to feel better but if you do anything you just swell
