Mommy Makeover in Houston!

It’s been one month since my surgery. The swelling has gone down quite a lot in the past week and I’ve been sleeping much better.

I’ve been using scar treatment gel for about 10 days and I’ve already noticed that it’s getting thinner and lighter in several areas.

I’ve been very pleased with my post-op care with my doctor. He has been very responsive when I’ve had questions or concerns.

Only 2 1/2 weeks left in my compression garment!

Finally starting to feel like myself!
My energy is starting to return and I am sleeping more comfortably.
I’m managing my occasional discomfort with Tylenol as needed, but mostly I just feel like I did a hard ab workout yesterday.
I am excited to have my steri-strips removed next week so I can see my incision.
While I am still swollen, most of the bruising has subsided.
Can’t wait to be able to exercise again. This procedure has motivated me to lose the final 15-20 lbs!
Oh...and I love my new belly button :-)

Drains are finally out! I feel more swollen today - possibly because the drains are out, but maybe because I didn’t rest as much today as I have other days.

Bruising is mostly yellow now with the exception of one bruise on my bra line under my right arm.

I am very pleased with the size and shape of my breasts. Right now I’m about a 36D (down from a 36G) but I’ll have to see what my final size is after the swelling goes down.

I’m so excited to be able to stand up straight again!

My challenge his week will be resting and taking it easy. I don’t like sitting still!
