I am beyond thrilled with my mommy makeover results and my entire experience with Dr. Alejandro and his team.
My journey actually began when I discovered that my left breast implant had ruptured. Since I needed surgery anyway, I decided to finally address several concerns I had been putting off for years and go all in with a "mommy makeover."
My procedures included a breast lift with smaller implants that better fit my body frame, a tummy tuck with muscle repair to correct my diastasis recti, liposuction of my abdomen and back, and fat transfer to my buttocks. While it was certainly a major surgery, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The results look natural, balanced, and proportionate to my body, and I feel more confident than I have in years.
My husband and I arrived a few days before surgery and spent some much-needed time relaxing in Nuevo Vallarta. We explored the area, walked along the beach, enjoyed local restaurants, and even went on a few excursions before surgery. Throughout our stay, we always felt safe and welcomed. The Uber and taxi drivers were wonderful, and at no point did we ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
From the very beginning, Dr. Alejandro and my patient care coordinator, Alejandra, made the entire process seamless. Alejandra was absolutely the best! She patiently answered my never-ending questions and concerns, always responding promptly, professionally, and with genuine kindness (for 6 months prior to the actual procedure!!). Having someone so accessible and supportive throughout this journey made a tremendous difference and gave me peace of mind every step of the way.
Dr. Alejandro was highly professional, incredibly skilled, and had a genuinely caring bedside manner. I never once felt uncomfortable during any consultation, appointment, or follow-up. He took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and made sure I understood exactly what to expect.
One thing I especially appreciated was his honesty. He was firm—but always kind—in making sure I understood just how serious this surgery was and how important the recovery process would be. He never minimized what recovery would entail and was upfront about the patience and commitment required for the best results.
Despite all of his cautions and recovery guidelines, I got a little adventurous and ventured outside sooner than I should have—and he actually busted me! The TIMING, though?!?! I mean, I was standing outside the hotel in my robe and slippers as he left the hospital just down the street, and got an email from Alejandra not more than 30 minutes later! **Obviously I stood out**-- I was so embarrassed. Looking back, it was actually reassuring because it showed just how invested he was in my recovery and how committed he was to helping me achieve the best possible outcome.
I am currently 8 weeks post-op, and while I still experience some tightness—which is completely normal—I feel absolutely AMAZING. One of the biggest changes has been seeing a waistline again! Before surgery, my diastasis recti left my waist looking more like a rectangle, regardless of how much effort I put into diet and exercise. Now I finally have shape and definition that I haven't seen in years. The improvement in both my appearance and confidence has been incredible.
If I could offer one piece of advice to future patients, it would be to start lymphatic massages (licensed/certified) within the first week after surgery. I waited longer than I should have, and in hindsight, I believe starting sooner would have helped reduce swelling and improve my overall comfort during recovery.
I traveled back to Utah just 10 days after surgery, with a layover in Mexico City, and had absolutely no issues. By following Dr. Alejandro's instructions, wearing my compression garments, staying hydrated, and moving as recommended, the trip went smoothly and uneventfully.
What has impressed me most is that the care did not end after surgery. Even now, at 8 weeks post-op, both Dr. Alejandro and Alejandra continue to stay in contact with me throughout my recovery. They remain available to answer questions, address concerns, and provide guidance whenever needed. That level of ongoing support and genuine concern for their patients is rare and speaks volumes about the quality of care they provide.
As an added bonus, I also received some Botox during my visit! Not only was it convenient to have everything done in one place, but I saved so much money compared to prices back in the US. The results have been fantastic and were just another example of the value and quality of care I received.
This entire experience has truly been life-changing. I am so grateful to Dr. Alejandro, Alejandra, and the entire team for their exceptional care, support, honesty, professionalism, and genuine compassion. Based on my experience, I would not hesitate to return to Dr. Alejandro for any future cosmetic procedures. Trust is everything when choosing a surgeon, and after seeing both my results and the level of care I received, I know exactly who I will call in the future.
