My experience with Dr. A was great! I’m from the states but traveled to PV, Mexico after doing some extensive research on Dr. A. He’s bored certified in the states and also board-certified in MX. The procedure was done at Joya hospital, which was very comforting to me in case of an emergency. I absolutely loved the anesthesiologist he was a big, jolly guy, but I cannot remember his name. I remember us praying before surgery, and he said very comforting words that they will take care of me and everything will be OK. I absolutely believed him and they did. I remember laughing and talking with the doctors as they mentioned my tattoos. We had a little laugh and then I was out like a light. Surgery started at 6am and lasted a few hours. I woke up in hospital room around 4p. Very stiff but no pain. I didn’t like the fact that I had to get up and start walking the next day. That was absolutely the worst part. The pain was very very intense at that point. I recovered for 12 days at an Airbnb closed by the hospital with 24 hour nurses that I paid out-of-pocket. The price point for a mommy makeover was great. This was 2021 and I believe I paid around 12K usd total . This did not include lab work or the cardiologist visit that is mandatory but that was around US$300. I got Lipo, 360, tummy tuck and double arm lift. I did not receive a BBL only because my ass is already huge lol and I did not bother with the included breast argumentation, because I still plan on having at least one more child and I breast-feed my babies so that may be something I do in the future. Three days after surgery I was 25 pounds down and that was a combination of 8 pounds of fat removed, skin removal but also I low carb and drink plenty of fluids while recovering. I had arnica tea three times a day and arnica pills. Didn’t really take my meds because they were making me hallucinate and very emotional. Had my drains removed and I returned home with no issues. To be very transparent, I gave Dr. A a four-star rating only because one of my arms stitches or skin area had ripped open and was becoming kind of infected looking. I wasn’t lifting or doing anything but laying around for 2 weeks. It was taking very long to heal only one the 1 arm. Dr. A told me that everything looked great and that I just needed to continue same wound care. It did take that arm about two months to fully heal and it doesn’t look too great even 2 years later. The left one isn’t bad at all. I wanted to get another arm lift to reduce their size more and correct the scar on the right anyway so I’m not upset about it at all. My drain opening healed great and my tummy tuck scars look sooo soo good! My belly button looks very natural so I’m blessed and grateful about that! Updated on 11 Aug 2024: Ok so I spiraled out of control about a year and a half after surgery. Ate everything in sight. My back was big again and my stomach was too! I finally stopped pleating around, got on my zoom and got my body that I paid for back! As long as I keep my diet in check and my workout on point, I’m good! I will never got back to where I’ve started which was 300lbs! I’m now 197 and I owe it to this Dr for the motivation but to myself for the continuous push and commitment! He shaped me and took away the first 15lbs or so and i handled the rest!
I had a Faceliift/Necklift/Chin Implant. I was undecided about the implant until I saw pictures of the difference it would make. Dr Alejandro was very informative and personable, I am an international patient so I was a bit nervous but his Coordinator Ivette was really understanding and was always available to answer any questions I had. His office is esthetically beautiful snd the clinic where the surgery was done is Uber clean, in fact I have never seen such a clean and organized medical facility, I was given detailed post surgery instructions which I followed to the letter. The follow up office visits were reassuring and now that I am back on my home country I am having follow up consultations via FaceTime, his office continues to be available for any questions/issues I may have. The only issue I had was the actual day of surgery most of the staff at the hospital spoke very limited English so you might want to keep Google Translate handy the day of surgery if you can. All in all it was a good experience and I’m looking forward to continued healing . I would definitely reccomend Dr. Alejandro and his Clinic.
Let me tell you don’t believe everything you hear in the news about Mexico and their doctors!! Check him out he is the best! Everything was great from the appointments to the hospital experience. Everybody was professional from the 1st call to the end! Nothing bad to say. I had a Tummy Tuck with Vaser Liposuction muscle repair and a BBL! Updated on 22 May 2021: Let me tell you all that, I’m still Loving my Results still! And I’m only 4 months OP! I still have more time to get even better results than now is a big wow!!!! Next will be my arm lift from Dr Alejandro..
Dr Alejandro and his staff were very attentive, addressed my concerns and worked with me to achieve the results I wanted. I know look in the mirror and see my eyes the way they used to be when I was younger, beautiful cheekbones and a smoother neck. Everyone thinks I look younger but I don’t know that I’ve had a eyelift, a facelift and a neck lift unless I tell them. Even the more skeptical among my friends have admitted that what I did was well worth it, a step back in time. I can’t say enough good things about the hospital staff, the care I received, the many appointments that Dr Alejandro made with me to assure that I was doing well and was happy.
Everything went very smoothly. Each person I encountered in the process had a job to do and was very professional and attentive. Everyone put me at ease at each phase of the procedure. I'm very happy with the results. It's a scary thought to have work done so far away in a foreign country but dr. Alajandro was great. A real professional! I look at least 15 years younger. People say I look great but aren't sure what is different, only that I look younger and well rested. Dr. Alajandro is Clearly an expert in his field. It's the first of several procedures with him and I'm excited at the thought of a whole new look. Thank you!
I cannot say enough about my experience. It was First Class. Friendly staff. Dr Alejandro. Was very attentive before and after surgery. Friends that were there waiting for me during surgery were constantly inform about me even the ward Doctor gave them his cell number. Was in Puerto Vallarta for 3 months so had frequent follow ups and Dr Alejandro gave us his cell number Lori was excellent always returning your email promptly. Love my results of my face lift still look like me but I must say at least 10 years younger EXCELLENT RESULTS. and I just think the World of Dr Alejandro NO REGRETS.
I lost 100 lbs four years ago and kept it off, I was left with a lot of extra skin just hanging off over my pubic area, clothes just feel or look good, jeans totally out of the question, long t- shirts a must. I researched a lot of Doctors both in Canada, Costa Rica and Mexico, after asking a lot of questions and reviews I decided to go to Puerto Vallarta with Dr. Alejandro Enriquez De Rivera Campero, he is the only one who explain to me that for my own safety he would not do several procedures at once, I originally wanted a facelift, tummy tuck and breast lift, he strongly advised against this as these were all major surgeries and a body should not be put through so much at once, he advised to do one at a time and heal 3 -6 months between them, made sense to me! A my cost would still add up to the same amount as my original quote! Thank goodness it can't even imagine have all that done to me at once, I chose the tummy tuck first, it is defiantly a huge surgery. He also made sure I would be able to stay in Vallarta for at least two weeks to make sure all it we'll before sending me home. I had an awesome surgeon, first three days were rough, pain meds worked great It was the mobility I had issues with my back pain was the worst of it and dragging my drains around, I had no bruising at all and my incision is so fine very clean closure, mind you i kept on and well balanced diet and followed Dr. orders, he sent a nurse to my room every two days to help me shower and change my dressings and check for any signs of infection, even though I had a support person with me.
I was very impressed with my doctor he was easy to talk too. I had Botox and Juvederm and loved the results. I found him to be very honest I wanted Juvederm for the bags under my eyes he said no and explained his reasoning . We discussed eye lift and bag removals. He made it very clear that he will not do the surgery until I have quit smoking. I found the fact that he was more concerned about my health and healing than making money refreshing.
I am getting a tummy tuck!!!!!! Finally, I have been thinking about it for quite a while, and in 2011 i decided no to tummy tuck and smart lipo all the way, less down time with sculpted results :( I wasted a lot of money doing that, after having the smart lipo twice the doc said I would have to pay again but this time you are sure to see results, ya right like I need more for nothing! I am so excited, 6 more days until a brand new me :) I have a tattoo on my stomach which my PS is almost positive he can get the whole thing so that in itself is enough for me. I am having a full tummy tuck with lipo on my back thighs and flanks and will be having it done by DR. Alejandro Enriques in Puerto Vallarta, leaving canada on Sunday I can't wait wish me luck all. I will post pictures as soon as I am able too. :) Updated on 16 Jan 2013: well 2 hours until my appointment. I didn't sleep much last night, I can't wait for this part to be over! Updated on 17 Jan 2013: well had my tummy tuck yesterday, not what I had in mind for pain lol, but wow way worse. And then being in Mexico I am so hot and apparently I was the only one so I am sweating constantly. I haven't seen what it looks like yet, kinda nervous. It makes me light headed. anyways as soon as i get to take a look I will post some pics :) Updated on 18 Jan 2013: I took my first shower and that drained me, my drainage tubes leaked when i was trying to put my cg back on so thats a little scary, happy to see my surgeon tomorrow :) Updated on 20 Jan 2013: I am feeling really good, down to taking pain killers only at night to help my sore back. The fluid in my drainage tubes is all yellow (ish) I think that's good, although I can't wait to get them out! They are so annoying, I have two in the front and one right in my butt crack, I have been trying so hard not to cough and have done pretty good except i am noticing i'm getting the little tickle. I love Mexico but I want to go home, I feel bad for my hubby for having to take care of me. He has not been able to enjoy his holiday much, bc I am not willing to go outside with all the tubes attached sticking out of everywhere. I managed to get all the tubes tucked into my sweat pants then had to wear a big sweater to keep everything hidden, It's just to hot for that. 7 days until we get home, I can't wait.I want everything to be healed and back to normal. I guess the biggest thing that worries me is if I go home then something happens, I don't know what I would do. Updated on 21 Jan 2013: I have been so bored the last couple days I just sit on realself looking at everyone's reviews over and over lol, looking to compare myself in some ways, I have only had one shower because i am scared to take my garment off, incase it wont fit back on. Just unzipping it then doing it back up changes the way everything is squished in there. I haven't been comfortable since the first time I took it off. I am also nervous about wearing the garment, it's so hot here, I am scared to sweat and cause a possible infection, :( I feel lost, I am only sleeping about 2-3 hours at a time, I am going to stiff and numb. And my hunching over is getting worse! has anyone else noticed that? Is that what happens, as the days go on you go more hunched before straightening out? I am kinda depressed, I want to go home :( Updated on 22 Jan 2013: I almost slept fully through the night, wow I needed that. Today I feel good, more normal than I have felt since before the surgery. I noticed that everyday I am draining more than the previous day is that normal? 6 days post op and I am still draining around 250 per tube, is that normal? Updated on 22 Jan 2013: My belly button seems to be leaking out the stitches a bloody discharge. is this normal? has anyone else had this? Kinda freaks me out :( waiting to talk to my ps tomorrow, Updated on 23 Jan 2013: I finally made it to one week!!!!!!! I thought it would never come!!! I am in a bit of a downer about still have so much fluid in my drainage tubes, so I guess I will have to keep them a little longer :( I hoped for sure the one week mark would mean no more drains :(. Apparently the bleeding belly button is normal? I hope so but I can't wait for a couple more days for healing and swelling to go down. My cg has put indents all over my stomach, is that ok? Updated on 25 Jan 2013: It, has been a very long week! I am day 9 today and I am feeling pretty awesome, I stayed in bed all day yesterday (well tried too) because I am trying to get the fluids down in the drains, I think it helped, but not enough. Tomorrow is my last post op appointment and then home to Canada on Sunday!I can't wait to get home, but I am extremely sad about having to bring the drains with me. Other than that I am feeling fantastic, done pretty much all my meds, I am still taking some anti-inflammitory. I am not sure if it is helping. I am so totally swollen it's crazy! My everything feels good on the other hand, other than a now stiff neck and my back is a little sore, I have found it a bit easier at night to sleep on my side a bit. I don't think it hurts anything It is just a nice relief. Anyways I am glad I am mentally and physically feeling good. :) Happy healing to everyone! Updated on 27 Jan 2013: 11 days post op and I get to finally go home! I am so happy to bee leaving Mexico, (although it's very beautiful, and warm) I think recovery for me would have been a little better in Canada. I had my last post op visit yesterday with my ps, and he says everything is fantastic. I sadly have to bring my nasty drains with me :( So not really looking forward to the flight but oh well... My scar is healing nicely and everything looking good, but my swelling is still crazy, :( I hoped it would go down a little bit just give it a little more time. Updated on 29 Jan 2013: It's almost 2 weeks, time went by fairly quickly, I am feeling much better everyday!!! My legs are super stiff from the lipo, but not in pain anymore! I am glad to be home and can't wait to upload some new pictures. I am still very swollen, but going down slowly so that's nice! I am happy I did it more and more everyday. I went through a brief phase where I figured I had made a huge mistake, So that is passing also :)...... Oh and I still have my drains :( Updated on 2 Feb 2013: The drains r out!!! What a relief it feels amazing!!! Updated on 6 Feb 2013: I am 3 weeks post op today! My swelling has not gone down at all. Is that normal? Yesterday was my first day back to work, so being on my feet all day wasn't so good for the swelling. I swelled up a lot last night and today being my second day back yesterday's swelling hasn't gone down and I am just getting bigger :(..... I love that my drains are out. The holes closed nicely but I still have the raw feeling on the outer skin which is gross when gauze or anything gets stuck. Anyways if my swelling ever goes down I will post new pics, no point now when I just look the same. Updated on 10 Feb 2013: I have noticed I have been waking myself up at night scratching my incision, I am wearing a garment but I am not sure if that is why my incision looks like this. Help I am freaked out!!!! Updated on 14 Feb 2013: Day by day the last four weeks took so long, now I'm thinking where did the time go!!! I am healing great my opened wound is doing good with the help of my gp. It wasn't infected thank goodness, I still don't know why it opened but seeing on some of your ladies reviews it has happened before. My swelling is still pretty bad, and then even worse at night. I have only worn one pair of jeans, they are the only ones that fit so far. I am going to post pics today, I just have to try and find the right angle. Happy healing everyone!!! Updated on 21 Feb 2013: I have started using mederma for scar treatment everywhere besides the part that opened. All is healing nicely, and my swelling is starting to go down. I have lost 7lbs since surgery. Updated on 5 Mar 2013: I am 7 weeks post op tomorrow!! So happy with the healing process. The part of my incision that opened up is still healing and I assume it will still be a while yet, that is disappointing, with that sore there I am still unable to wear jeans due to the fact that the rubbing causes friction and then it tears the scab a bit. Although I am not sure if it is from swelling but All of my jeans are to tight. I can't seem to fit anything I used to wear anymore, is that normal, does it happen to everyone? I am going to start the gym again this week, I am pretty excited. I still get stiff in my back mainly a little throughout my stomach as well though if I sit to long or just waking up. I can't wait for that to go away, anyways happy healing to all. Updated on 20 Mar 2013: I am 9 weeks today, I am so happy to be over the hump of soreness and scabs :) I started the gym a couple days ago and have been getting a pain right in the middle of my stomach. It feels like a pulled muscle or something, I am not sure if I am over doing it, has anyone else had this problem? Please help me out. Updated on 6 May 2013: I am almost 4 months, Just wanted to post my status :) All is well. I am loving everything. My scab that I have had since 3 or 4 weeks just came off today!!!! What a relief, My scar is doing good nice and low. I have started doing Zumba which is a little sore on my abs still, kind of like I get a kink in them or something so I am just not moving as fast as everyone else but loving life as of right now :) Updated on 17 Jan 2014: It has been one year since my tummy tuck and I feel great!! The pain I had from the surgery made me wish I never would have done it, but I would never change it for anything :) I am so happy and have built self confidence like crazy. I will post pictures this weekend at some point this weekend. I am so glad I went to the surgeon I chose. ;) Updated on 26 Jan 2014: Here are my pictures one year later..... I couldn't be happier! :)
I’ve gotten many procedures done (rhinoplasty, breast lift, breast augmentation). This was by far the worst and most painful experience. I’ve been meaning to post this review and I hope this can save someone from going through what I did. Firstly, Dr. Alejandro is friendly. No issues there. But here’s the highlight of what happened: -I got to the hospital/clinic and was the only one there, Dr. Alejandro walked me through and brought me to his office. -he marked up my body with a permanent marker, and when he saw my backside, he said “are you sure you don’t want some in here?” which immediately shot up red flags - a BBL is an entirely different procedure and I was moments away from being operated on. -The nurse who put in the IV in pre-op was struggling to get it in. When I got wheeled into the OR, 3 nurses stood above me speaking in Spanish, pointing and speaking to him. -When I woke up, the IV was in my opposite arm. -I woke up mid surgery with my arm in the air and then they put me under again. Terrifying. -I think because I woke up, they gave me way too much anaesthesia and I was knocked out for another 8 hours. I woke up in the evening in a room. -the pain was excruciating and most nurses didn’t speak a word of English. -They took my compression socks off when I should have kept them on for another 2 weeks, all of the nurses had different answers for my questions When I had my first shower, I took off my garment and noticed a GIANT dent on my upper abdomen (see photo). I believe it was caused because he didn’t remove enough fat and the garment he put on me wasn’t long enough for my body (I’m almost 6 feet tall) and it left a giant indent. I was researching and everywhere it said to get massages to prevent edema (hardening of the tissues) but they told me not to, so I listened. BIG MISTAKE! They also didn’t give me the proper foam/compression so my results looked horrible. On top of this, my arms were filling with fluid and I had to extend my trip another week because I had to go back to their clinic several times to get it removed with a syringe. When I got home I booked 20 lympathic drainage massages (80 bucks each) with a specialist that does post-lipo as well as ultrasounds to help with the edema and she said she’s never seen anything like this. We tried everything to fix it, but no luck. I also had to get even more liquid removed from my arms, and bought new fajas that had more compression. Im so embarrassed to wear a swimsuit or be seen naked, and I’ll have to go get liposuction revision if I want to fix it. I only went to this surgeon because my friend got her rhinoplasty there and had a good experience. Please, please, please. Don’t go. It’ll end up costing way more money, and you’re going to cause long term damage.
It be best that you see your surgeon to make sure you did not shift or even fracture the nose. If it bled when you hit your nose you need to see your surgeon immediately. It's important to follow the post instruction to have the best results. If notice of a increase of swelling you may want to call your surgeon. It would be better to lose weight then to have liposuction. Liposuction helps to get the stubborn fat that's hard to get rid of and also reshape the body. It is possible to have liposuction then to lose weight to keep at a healthy weight although, you might have a hard time to to get rid of stubborn fat later on. Hope this information was useful. I see that you are looking for a slimmer face with buccal fat removal will fix your case. What buccal fat removal dose is helps to contour the face. This does not require laser treatment the incision is oral. It's always important to discuss with your surgeon your expectations and always do your research on your surgeon that he know this procedure very well. Best of luck, Dr.Alejandro Enriquez de Rivera Campero American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) International Member Mexican Association of Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AMCPER)
It's important to discuss this case with the surgeon. Although, you will not lose your dimples if you were to have a facelift. It's important to have a surgeon that is very experience and has a lot of practice doing facelifts. Always talk about what are your expectations with the surgeon so both are on the same page. Best of luck, Dr.Alejandro Enriquez de Rivera Campero American Society of Plastic Surgeons International Member Mexican Association of Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
There is not enough excess skin to do a Facelift. The objective for a facelift is to tighten up the jowls, sagging usually don't show up until late 40's, and you have 30 year until you have to start worrying about doing a facelift. Although, you did mention sucking your cheeks in I believe you are looking for buccal fat pad reduction and chin liposuction would be the best option in your case. You are young it's good to start to have an early habit of skin care, eating right, maintain a healthy weight, get the right amount of sleep, always be hydrated, and moisturize. Avoid smoking, second hand smoking, and too much sun exposure. Always do your research on the surgeon. Best of luck, Dr.Alejandro Enriquez de Rivera Campero
