I am SO GLAD I had the surgery

I decided to have a Mummy Makeover because I had a lot of low hanging skin on my lower abdomen after gaining a lot of weight during pregnancy, then losing it gradually and sustainably in the next few years. Despite the weight loss, I never felt truly comfortable in my body. Clothes didn't fit well, as I had to either hide the skin under loose clothing, or tuck it in. Put simply, I just wanted to pull a pair of jeans on and feel good in them. My lifestyle had changed, so it felt like the right time to explore what options I had. It was then that I decided to also get a breast lift, as it seemed like a good time to do it all at once. My breasts weren't large, however were quite uneven and saggy after breastfeeding. I opted for no implants.

The experience I had with Dr Choy and his team was exemplary. Their communication and professionalism was wonderful, and I felt safe and cared for every step of the way. The after-care nurse (Danielle) was particularly wonderful, on hand day and night for weeks/months afterwards to answer any questions I had throughout the healing process. The staff at Castlecrag were also absolutely wonderful and attentive, making the whole experience quite relaxing, despite it being major surgery.

I am 6 months and 15 days post-op now. I am SO GLAD I had the surgery. It's hard to explain, I just feel better in myself. Ironically, despite the cost of the surgery, I think I've saved money. I shop for clothes and material possessions less these days because clothes just fit better and I am not trying to make myself feel better by buying things. I can finally wear a pair of cute jeans with a cropped jumper without a big pouch of saggy skin. I am a more confident woman, partner, and mum because of the surgery. Thanks Dr Choy!
