Forever Grateful

I don’t even know where to begin. From the moment I met my surgeon, I felt seen, safe, and genuinely cared for. He spent over two hours consulting and planning with me not rushing, not dismissing but truly listening. That level of dedication gave me the courage to walk into surgery alone in a foreign country, something I thought would terrify me. Instead, I felt calm and reassured.

My nurses… I’ll never forget them. They were angels. On day one and two, when I couldn’t even smile, they didn’t just tend to me they held me with their energy, their empathy. They encouraged me to walk, to push through when all I wanted was to stay in bed. And because of them, by day three — after a full mummy makeover — I started to feel like myself again. Happy. Light. Hopeful.

I can’t express this enough: the level of care I received was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. In Australia, we just don’t get care like this — not from surgeons, not from the system. People warned me against coming to Turkey for surgery. They told me it was risky, a bad idea.

How wrong they were.

This journey gave me not only results, but healing, inside and out. I’m so deeply grateful.
