Mommy makeover - I am so happy I did it!
Mommy Makeover
I am six weeks post-op from having a Mommy Makeover (a full tummy tuck with abdominal repair and a breast lift with fat grafting) and lipo to my submental (double chin). I am so happy I did it! I knew Dr Reichner and his office was the right choice after looking at his consistent results and after meeting the staff. Dr Reichner is obviously great at what he does, is kind, and takes his time with me during visits.
I was so self conscious about the consult but he was so nice and put my worries at ease as well as explaining what would and wouldn't give me the results I wanted. I've had Nurse Rocky for almost all my visits and she is just the absolute best at what she does and feels like a friend that is invested in your results 100%. Domonique at the front has also been such a blessing to any worries or questions I've had and exudes positivity as well as rooting for me along the way.
The other nurses I've got to meet are great too so you'd be in excellent hands no matter which nurse you work with. I also found out that I unknowingly am a slow healer and the entire staff has been so helpful getting me on the best track possible for full recovery as quick as possible. With that being said, I can honestly tell you that you'll never feel abandoned by the office if your body isn't healing at the rate you thought it would be because everyone heals and recovers differently.
I've been able to call and text pictures and the elusive and knowledgable Nurse Lisa has been on call on the weekends if anything popped up that I couldn't wait until Monday to get some help with. The office offers light therapy that I definitely took advantage of and I live 90 minutes away! They also sell and text you links with supplies that will help with your recovery so you aren't googling random websites and getting overwhelmed which is SO nice.
Lastly, if you are reading this and are hesitant on just getting a consult for a mommy makeover because you aren't as thin like a lot of the pictures you find when googling a tummy tuck, that's ok! I was a size 18 and knew I was never going to lose a ton of weight (even though that is optimal) but really wanted my abdominal wall stitched up after having 2 kids as well as getting rid of my fanny pack of skin that was above my c-section scar.
I asked the Dr if I would be a candidate and he said yes but to just look up some of the before pictures that were closer to my body type so I knew what to realistically expect for my results. Nurse Rocky and I did that together (there are some great before and afters on their instagram) and I felt so excited! So don't let your own insecurities hinder you from becoming the best version of yourself!
