18 months post op and still happy

WORTH IT
Got back from vacation in Cabo and super pleased with my results still. I have kept up my regular exercise routine during COVID. My advice for anyone going into this. Be realistic, be at your best (lifetime maintainable) weight then go for it. No matter how much surgery you have maintenance is key. :) I feel more alive at 40 then I did at 20. This surgery changed my life also I am glad I waited till after children.

Still happy with my amazing results. Funny how when I get bloated these days my upper abdomen pops out lol. I still workout 5x per week doing Orangetheory and eat pretty well. Greatful I can sit down now and on my “feeling” Fat days I don’t have rolls piping out of my jeans.

Wow you look absolutely bomb! Wonderful results congrats!
ahhh thank you :-)
Reading through all your old posts & loving all the updates! You’ve had quite a journey! I’m 7wks post op & def think I damaged my MR. Right after surgery my abs were rock hard & alway felt tensed, I couldn’t relax them! It was almost uncomfortable. On day 2 I was lying on the couch & twisted around to get my coffee. I felt the strangest sensation, like a zip sliding undone internally. But no pain. From then on, I could relax my tummy :-( my results are still great after all the sagging skin is gone, but I’m raging I could have potentially damaged the MR & it could have been a better result! I saw my consultant & said to him 3 times I think I’ve damaged it, but he dismissed it saying it would be very difficult to do & there would be pain & or bulges. He checked me at 6 weeks & told me everything was sound, but why can I now relax my tummy & push my belly out??! He said your abs feel tight after surgery because of the trauma & over time they gradually relax. But I can’t help but feel I’ve wrecked it!! Reading your posts, you say you still felt tight at 4 months. Wondering if it still feels tight now? Does it ever ‘relax?’ Also what ab exercises did u start to do for your fabulous definition? You look amazing xo
omg you are so sweet. Congrats on your surgery. I felt like I ripped my abs too a week in. So you are not alone. I am learning when I eat too much I feel tight. I waited almost 6 months to do ab exercises since I was afraid of ripping my abs. I go to orange theory 2-3x per week and walk/run 2-3x per week. Honestly diet is key. I eat clean NO fad diets real fats, sugars etc.. and TRY to limit cocktails to weekends. I noticed I lean out nicely if I watch my sodium and booze. :-)
You look great!
Thank you

So happy I was able to celebrate 40 in a bikini without having to be self conscious! I am happier than ever and maintaining my results with my continued (mostly) clean lifestyle and exercise habits. :)
