WORTH IT$6,600
Im feeling much better and stronger each day, its still a bit difficult at times and I still get tired easy and need to be careful. Wound care after surgery and drain removal takes time each day and it very important, Im still leaking but it seems to finally be starting to slow down a bit. Im still considerably swollen especially after a busy day but I can still see amazing results. My body did not take kindly to the trauma it endured and I guess Im a bit slow to heal, my belly button is fine but it looks sooo gross inside, thats Im told will be the slowest to heal so I need to be patient. I feel pretty good about the progress Ive already made in suchba short time. Well on my way to a healthier me. Next summer I think Ill be beach ready!

Can you tell me how much you spent total for the round trip and hotel stay along with the procedure please..... thank you
June 14, 2019
The procedure was $6,600.00, the all inclusive package (includes apartment with transportation to and from airport and appointments, nurses, meals, and massages) was $1000.00 and I kept $600.00 in my bank to use for supplies including faja, food/ snacks and misc purchases while there and at the airports for snacks as well. And my flights there and back together were just under $500.00 roundtrip. Approximately $8, 600.00 total includes everything including cab from home to airport and airport back home. I cut it pretty close though, I got my paid vacation check right around the time I returned home which was perfect timing as, I was down to dollars left in my account by then. I hope this helps.

Question: is there something you wished you could have brought with you that you didn’t?
May 30, 2019
The one thing I wished I had the most was a heating blanket or throw, some extra fuzzy socks, and to have bought an extra pillow once I was there. Most of the time us girls were just in our fajas around the apartment so apart from some type of light wrap, sweater, or other comfy warm top you wont really need much clothes but if you get chilled easy I definitely urge you to get some type of heated blanket you wont regret it, or the extra pillow or two. The beds are very flat and hard. The pillows will come in handy, its much easier to get up out of bed and easier to sleep propped up a bit then flat on a hard bed. Also maybe some Tylenol PM or something similar. I hope this helps.

I just wanted to add some photos of post op 11 days. It says I need to write more so I will say the faja is the most miserable piece of clothing Ive ever had to wear. I cant wait to not have a zipper up my butt. Anyone suggest a seamless brand I could use to sleep in?

Its been 11 days since my surgery, its been a very long 11 days. Ive had many ups and downs, good days and bad. This is not for the faint of heart, this process is very difficult. You need to be strong and keep reminding yourself each day is a little better usually. So far Im happy with the results Im seeing, I still pretty swollen but it goes down a little more each day. The faja is the most miserable thing Ive ever had to wear mostly because it has seams and the zipper is up my butt crack and lady parts I cant stand it. I will get a seamless one once Im home to wear when I sleep.

Hey dear hang in there it will get better over time . I’m scheduled for June the 28th , I’m only taking off for two weeks so I think that’s ok or do I need more days off

Its hard to say everyone heals differently. It also depends on the nature of your job and which procedures you will have done. For all that I had done, I feel like I returned too soon. I had sugery on May 4th and my first day back at work was May 20th. I had a very difficult 1st night as I do nursing assistant work and was on my feet the entire shift and very active if I had a desk job it wouldnt have been as tough. I would definitely discuss your unique circumstances with your doctor and follow his/her advice.
