My Amazing Surgery Journey
WORTH IT
It has been a long Journey for me and this surgery was the last chapter of my book but also the beginning of a new one.
I come from a family where women from my maternal side were blessed with big breasts. Puberty hit and skipped the training bra period before transitioning into the normal bras. I was always very uncomfortable with my breast size. At age 20 I got married had 4 children and the breasts got bigger and bigger as well as gaining weight. I had to shop at a specialist store for my size which was 16 JJ.
Year 2012 was a very big year divorced at 37 juggling being a single working mum. Gained more weight stressed high blood pressure. In 2013 made the decision to do the gastric sleeve surgery lost over 37 kg. I have maintained a healthy weight between 63-65kg. However, the excess weight loss made my breast very droopy and empty still though a size 10JJ. Abdomen area was very unattractive and although I had lost weight I could not look at myself in a mirror.
End of 2021 I was asking a friend of mine that I was contemplating having surgery. I did some research and messaged Dr Ellis Choy’s clinic in February 2022. My journey began when a lovely young Lady contacted me from Dr Choy’s clinic she asked what procedure I was thinking of having? Have I done any plastic surgery done before? My reply was definitely breast reductions not sure as to a Tummy tuck or did I want to have a Mummy Makeover.
From the first phone interaction I Felt relaxed and knew that I was in great hands. An appointment was made to meet Dr Choy face to face. I went to my first appointment very anxious felt guilt is it worth it at age 47 to have such a surgery.
I was greeted by warm and friendly staff at the front desk and was escorted and introduced to the lady I spoke to over the phone. Where she even put my mind further at ease by thoroughly going through what I was thinking? What I wanted to achieve the financial aspects things. The whole process just made me feel so comfortable and eager to meet the surgeon himself.
Dr Choy introduced himself and had a very professional manner but also made you feel so at ease. The first question he asked was what brings you here? My reply is I hate my breasts and my Abdomen looks sad. I don’t look at myself in a mirror I am not comfortable in my skin.
After Dr Choy had a look to make observations took some pictures he recommended the breast reduction with no implants and the Tummy Tuck and I made the decision yes lets lock it in. I didn’t feel like a number. From start to finish was by far superior. The entire team was amazing on surgery day. Dr Choy again met me early in the morning to draw the outline of procedure. After the surgery Dr Choy personally came around when I was in the room to greet me and tell me all went well and that I already look amazing.
Daily visits by the Dr Choy and the Nurses were just exceptional and when I went home I got calls to check on my progress. Throughout the entire surgical procedure I was at peace knowing that I was in the best of care.
The impact this surgery has had on my life so far is unbelievable I feel sexy. My body looks and feels better than when I was in my 20s. I am confident and can do physical sport without worrying about my boobs smacking me in my face.
If anyone was to ask me who to recommend it certainly would be Dr Choy and his Team.
