11 weeks post op update

I’m 11 weeks post op and LOVING my results! This was worth every single penny! Here are some updates and finally some photos of the results while standing, instead of sitting down.

Boobs: My implants are still slowly falling, but honestly I don’t mind if they take their time. I really the the upper pole fullness and I know I’ll miss it once gravity has done it’s thing. I had a healing issue at the T-junction at about 2 weeks post op which resolved quite quickly and hasn’t left any mark. I sleep on my side now very comfortably, but I still wear a post op bra to bed to keep them in place and supported. The implants are getting softer each day and and now starting to be able to have natural movement (like pushing them together). My boobs look wayyy bigger in the photo than they do in person, likely due to lighting and shadows. They are very proportionate to my body, and some days I’m wishing I went a big bigger- which is crazy because these implants looked huge on me when I tried them on during pre-op appointments. Im so happy I went with their recommendation on sizing.

TT: my stomach is looking super flat. Incision is nice and low and is easily covered by underwear or bathing suit bottoms. For compression, I sometimes wear my tight stage 2 faja during the day while I’m working. At night, I always wear compression to bed- usually my foams, an ab board and my abdominal binder or a stage 1 faja. I’m also loving my little belly button! There’s a little bit of swelling inside of it, but it’s been going away gradually. My pubic area also looks way better and is now flatter and lifted. I had a lot of swelling in that area post op (which is normal), but it has been gradually reducing and only has minimal swelling left.

Scars: I’ve been using silicone scar strips for the last 8 weeks and I’m really happy with the results so far. Dr. Jugenberg advised that the scars will look their worst at 3 month post op (which is next week) and they will improve from there.

I’m fully back to living life, working out (and making modifications as necessary) and feeling great. When I was sitting at 3 or 4 weeks post op, I still wasn’t even able to fully stand straight comfortably, so I’m happy to report that all is well now- healing just takes time!

I’ll post an update again in a few months.

4 week post op update

I’m 4 weeks post op today and here’s an update of my results. I can’t believe how flat my stomach is! I’m still quite swollen on my stomach and boobs, but already loving the results! The scars are healing so nicely and they are super thin. I started using New Gel+ silicone scar sheets 1 week ago for all incision lines and I’m really liking them. They’re super thick sheets and really nice quality. My boobs have dropped slightly but are clearly sitting very high still. I have been instructed to massage them to help them drop quicker -trysting the process!! Overall I found the turning point for feeling better was 2 weeks and it’s been improving each day since then. I have only started standing fully straight very recently and sleep has also drastically improved. I’m still sleeping on my back with my upper body elevated and knees up on a pillow and will continue to do so until 6 weeks post op. I also just switched to my stage 2 faja yesterday.will post an update in a few weeks

Mommy Makeover After Weight Loss

Procedures I had completed as part of "Mommy Makeover": Breast implants (520 CC high profile silicone, under the muscle), Breast lift (anchor), Extended tummy tuck, liposuction to upper abdomen, flanks and pubic area
Quick Review: This clinic has been amazing right from the start of the consultation process. The admin, nursing and other medical staff have all been fantastic; they are always quick to reply to messages and I felt well taken care of pre and post surgery. Dr Jugenburg is indisputably an artist with his work and knowing that his patients safety is always his top concern made me feel very comfortable. Transparent pricing on the website gives a good idea of baseline price to expect. I will update over the coming weeks with more photos as things settle. Highly recommend Dr. Jugenburg and his clinic if you are considering plastic surgery.
Detailed Review full experience:
I personally loved the detailed reviews when I was researching, so here you go :). I have been overweight most of my life and lost ~60 pounds 2 years ago by eating healthy and working out. This left me with sagging boobs and a ton of loose skin on my abdomen, along with some stubborn pockets of fat that diet and exercise would not penetrate. After reading tons of reviews, with the very high majority saying it was worth it, I decided to book a consult with Dr. Jugenburg for the procedures that make up what is typically referred to as a "Mommy Makeover". Patient safety is high priority for the clinic, and right off the bat you go through screening calls to ensure you are a candidate for surgery. Following this, I went in to the clinic and met with Nurse Kim and Carolina, who instantly made me feel so comfortable. I described to them what I was looking for and came armed with a long list of detailed questions, all of which they answered. At the end of the consult they provided me with a quote and options for surgery dates. The quote was higher than I initially expected, but it was very transparent and was very closely aligned to the advertised pricing on the site... the procedures just added up quickly! I took a day to think about it, and ultimately booked it the next day. I also booked a follow up appointment to return for another breast implant sizing appointment, as the ones that were recommended for me were bigger than I initially thought I wanted.
Quick note on breast implant sizing for anyone who is considering going for a consult- don't get hung up on the CC's. The recommended profile and sizing is based on the look you want and the measurement of your chest. Everyone I saw online that I liked had moderate profile plus 350-375 CC, so when I was told that of me to achieve the look I wanted I needed high profile 500CC +, I panicked! I did a ton of research before my second sizing appointment and ultimately went with their recommendation- Very happy I did!
My surgery date was initially booked 4 months out (which was the earliest availability), but I requested to be added to a cancellation list and I ended up getting my surgery date moved up almost 2 months. Dr Jugenburg is a man of few words, but he always made me feel very comfortable and confident in the surgical plan. On the day of surgery, my anxiety was surprisingly low, and the OR nurse and anesthesiologist made me feel cared for and comfortable as I went to sleep. The Recovery nurse was incredibly sweet and caring and I stayed in recovery for a couple of hours getting extra fluids.
Recovery: Post Surgery, I was picked up and driven home. The drive wasn't too bad- I brought a pillow to put on my body so the seatbelt wouldn't irritate anything. I had some balancing assistance walking into the house and up the stairs, but overall no issues with mobility. I was planning to recover in bed using foam wedges to prop me into the recommended sleeping position, but I found it was very uncomfortable trying to get out of the bed. I ended up getting a really big and comfortable zero-gravity chair and padding it with a duvet and pillows, which has been fantastic.
Pain: Totally manageable! The prescribed painkillers really help for the first few days and by Day 3 I was off of them and on Tylenol extra strength. By Day 7, I was off all pain killers completely. My breasts have felt mostly tender, but no pain. The tummy tuck discomfort for me is mostly from the skin feeling like its stretching when you start moving around. The biggest pain of all has been my back from being hunched over while walking.
The worst part of recovery for me has been sleeping. Im used to be very active, so Im finding that I'm not super tired at night since my day is mostly light activity and recovering. I am also a stomach or side sleeper, so it's been hard to get any quality sleep while being on my back.
I was super bruised and swollen post op, including area that didn't get worked on- my face, hands, thighs, butt. It all resolved within a few days. I have been wearing my compression as instructed, which has helped immensely. I bought some additional medical compression garments and bras from Lipoelastic, which I have been loving! I have only had 1 post op appointment so far, which was great. I am definitely experiencing frankenboob, but I'm trusting the process and excited to see them fall and fluff over the next while. Dr Jugenburg let me know at my post op appt, that this is totally normal and expected so early after surgery. I also can not stand straight yet, so post-op photo is taken while sitting down. I'll continue to update with photos as recovery progresses.
All-in-all, the results so far are totally worth the $, the recovery and these temporarily sleepless nights to have these new perky boobs and a super flat stomach for the first time in my life.
