I was burned badly by lipo
So, the red Mark's that I was told were bruises turned out to be the worst lipo burns. I was upset but I do still LOVE my overall result so far. It took a few days but Dr Yily has been in touch every other day to check on my progress. I feel better at least knowing she cares enough to follow up with my aftercare. The burns will have to heal and should not have happened. I know my back had many rolls and I did ask for a very tiny waistline. I'm choosing to remain optimistic I look awesome in my clothes and I'm glad I overcame my fear and did something about my body which I had come to hate so much over the years. This is just a small hurdle, soon I'll be healed and loving myself in my new clothes.
SAVE Update on mommy makeover TT BBL 360 lipo with Yily De Los Santos.
So here is an update. What I thought was bruising turned out to be very bad lipo burns. While I still like the overall look of my body, I dont like that I was burned so badly. My mother has been treating my burns as she is an RN nurse. I am happy to have here. I know burns can happen but I just dont understand how Dr. Yily could have burned me so badly.
360 Tummy Tuck, 360 Lipo & BBL Dominican Republic 1 Week Post Op
After 4 years of research and nearly 20 years of hating my body I decided to face my fears, go to th D.R. and get plastic surgery. I chose Dr. Yily because her work seemed awesome based on some the before and after pictures I had seen. On 12/17/18 I had the surgery and I am doing relatively well but I did want to give an honest review for anyone considering the same journey. My coordinator Loren never seemed available to answer my questions in fact it took me several trips to the bank to make my initial deposit because the wire information did not match. Dr. Yily always had to get in touch with Loren on my behalf in order for me to get what I needed. I liked that Yily would respond but it was annoying. The second day I had my labs done, an initial work up and made payment. Nothing was out of the ordinary or too stressful with the process so far. There were about 9 other girls but we were all scheduled on different days throughout the week. The next day I had my surgery! They told me to come at 9am but I didn't have surgery until 2:45pm. Just before surgery I was first taken to my room, which was private but dated. It was not cleaned well because there was blood splattered on the bed handles. Luckily, I bought Clorox disinfectant wipes and my husband and I wiped down the bed and mattress. They took me to the 6th floor and after waiting 50 min Yily came with her assistant, She asked me what I wanted and marked my body. She was very down to earth, I liked her bedside manner. We agreed on what she could do with my body and then the anesthesiologist came in with the blue pill. This is where things got crazy. About 20 minutes after taking the pill, the anesthesiologist came to get me for the surgery. Another guy that was in the OR began to yell and an argument started. I was taken back to the holding area and 10 minutes later she was back. We go back to the OR they yell at each other again, and back I go to the holding area. This happened once more then finally I was taken to the OR table. This made me very nervous but I had come too far to turn back. Yily came in and then I was out. When I woke I was happy I was awake but in a lot of pain. The pain meds they gave via IV was ok, it last me about 2 hours but I bought my own so that was ok. I was ok with how everything went so far but the next morning is when I started to regret my choices. Dr yily came in at 7am, she was friendly we joked about my results and the nurses gave her an update. My hemo was 9, the staff kept going back and forth about if I needed a blood transfusion. I felt I did not because I have battled anemia and was fine at this level Yily insisted. I would have liked to keep the $250 blood deposit but I was fine to move forward because I just wanted to make it back home in the best health. I was told I would get the transfusion and then be released that day. The nurse didn't bring the blood until after 1pm and it was still cold so he had to wait until it was warm enough. So I didn't get the blood until 2:45pm. He then said 2 units were ordered but the other blood was not ready. I was annoyed but figured I would not be leaving the clinic that day. After 5pm he came in with the second blood same thing too cold have to warm. Again I told him I felt great and didn't understand why my hemo level wasn't checked before giving me the second blood. Within minutes of receiving the blood my heart started racing. I called the head nurse to complain she dismissed me and said the cause was the movie "The Truman Show" That I was watching. I calmly told her no the movie was not an action movie and I've seen it 20 times before. Then she said maybe I was just angry because I didn't get released that day. I again disagreed and called my mother who is an RN. My mother advised the nurse to check my heart rate every 15 min and if it goes above 120 to remove me off the blood. She checked and it was 128 so they did remove the blood IV from my arm. They left the blood dripping from the Iv overnight. My heart rate corrected itself after an hour and I felt better. Finally they did a repeat hemo test but never gave me the results even after I asked. The only other complaint I had was severe acid reflux and heartburn. I asked 20 times for something since Tums was not working. The guy came back finally with a syringe but couldn't get a good vein he stuck me 6 different areas. Finally he gave up and said he'd be back. I suffered through the night with heartburn and reflux but by 6:45am everyone rushed my room to clean it empty my drains and remove the old blood in the IV. The nurse then rushed in with an antacid and apologized for falling asleep and forgetting to bring it the night before. This all happened just before Yily arrived to do her daily rounds at 7am. Again she was very friendly and professional. She checked my vitals and the nurse provided an update. At this point we just want to go back to our hotel where we had a personal nurse for care. I was finally released and the driver took us back. I got comfy in my own luxary room and from then I felt better. So far, I like my results. She lipped my bra rolls and my back and my whole upper body looks smaller. The tummy tuck and bbl are coming along and every few days I can see a better shape developing. My mom who is my worst critic says I look great! We will see. Overall Yily was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional but her staff at the clinic were aloof, sometimes uncaring and unprofessional. Again I went Yily with an open mind not because of the price but because of the results I've seen from some of her patients. Considering everything, I wouldn't do this again not because of my experience with her and her staff but because of the pain. Sheesh it hurts! I fo know that I wouldn't go back to the DR for any more surgeries. I'm praying for a good outcome and I'm thankful I made it home alive and safely.
