Mommy Makeover

I have three wonderful children, ages 4, 2 and 1 — all delivered via c-section. They were all large babies on my 5 ft. frame. And I breastfed all three. Needless to say, my boobs are deflated and I have skin that won’t go away no matter how rigorous my workouts are. I’m scheduled for a mommy makeover on 2/9/18! I’m having a tummy tuck with Lipo of the flanks and a breast augmentation with 250cc high profile, under the muscle implants. I just want to look like I did before having my three beautiful children. I’m going to Dr. Heck, who has been great so far and I’ve heard wonderful things about him. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I’m beyond anxious at this point. Thanks!

Congratulations on deciding to make this journey for yourself!! So excited for you. I had a mm in July 2017 and I would do it all over again. Good luck hun and keep us posted on how things are going. There are some great tips on the Realself site so take advantage and if you have any questions I’d be happy to answer what I can

Thank you so much! I truly appreciate your message! I decided not to have the breast implants at this time, as I couldn’t decide on the size. So, I’m having a tummy tuck and lips to my flanks. My surgery is scheduled for Friday and I’m beyond anxious. I will certainly keep you posted.

Great decision hun. If you can’t decide then maybe there is a reason you need to wait on that part. I’m so excited to hear how it all goes with your TT and lipo procedure!!! Not long now

Day of surgery

Today was the big day. I got there at 6:00 am and went into surgery at 7:30. I was in tears on my way into the OR, as I started thinking about my little ones. The anesthesiologist could tell I was anxious and quickly put me to sleep, thankfully! The surgery lasted about 1.5 hours and all I remember was waking up in recovery. I was sent home about two hours after that. The nurses were amazing, the anesthesiologist was amazing and Dr. Heck was amazing! My doctor told me I had severe muscle damage and that the muscles were just “hanging there.” I’m sore, but staying ahead of the pain as much as possible. I think the muscle repair is the most painful at this point, but I’m sure it will improve. So far, I’ve received excellent care and I’m excited to see my results.

Follow-up appointment today

I had my follow-up appointment today and it was pretty quick. They said everything looked good, gave me permission to shower and said to come back in two weeks to get one of the drains out. I feel pretty good at this point. My recovery has not been bad at all, thus far!
