9 week update

9 weeks! I feel amazing. At 7 weeks I feel like I really turned the corner and stopped feeling sore. I had my follow up appt and was cleared to resume all workouts! I’ve been spinning since 5 weeks and started light weights at 7 weeks. Yesterday was my first real workout using my abs and it went well! I’m easing into it though mainly because of fear. After 2 hernia repairs and the muscle repair I really don’t want to mess it up!!! Here is a photo I took yesterday of me in a bikini... say whaaaa, yep a BIKINI!!!

I hit 7 weeks today and had my first real workout last night. It's amazing how "normal" it made me feel after, but whew, 7 weeks off makes it tough getting back at it! You are looking amazing! Rock that bikini girl!!!!

thank you!! I feel ya on it being tough to get back... I feel like I literally have no ab strength left!! I still need to hold onto m legs to help me sit up. hopefully over the next couple weeks it I’ll get better an I can start to tone my mid section even more!

Ha! I hold my legs to get up also! I can't wait to not feel sore to the touch in my flanks! That has been so annoying!!! My tummy is still numb in areas so I don't feel pain there but it feels like a cinder block is in my abs. Not sure if it's the numbness, the tightness, or what, but I can't wait to just be "normal" (Whatever that is!?).

Feeling great and pretty much back to normal. First week was rough, 2nd week was way better. I’ll be 3 weeks tomorrow and am loving my results! Very tight from the muscle repair and still struggle with standing totally straight. Bending is a bit of a struggle to but i use my legs. I’m Still swollen near my scar and old belly button vertical scar and more so at night but am wearing the binder 24/7. Here are some updated photos from this morning.

Motivation is to have a flat stomach...

Happyincali
Motivation is to have a flat stomach and feel confident! I’ve never even shown off my breasts in clothes due the asymmetry. I can think of so many positives once the Surgery is complete... but right now I’m petrified of dying on the table! Realistically, I’m hoping my recovery isn’t to bad considering I’m fit and have a high tolerance.

Hello! I’m having the mommy makeover surgery on the 12th. I’m getting a lift, implants and the full tummy tuck. I am 39 with three little girls ages 7,5 and 22 months. I’m turning the big 4-0 in May and what to go into my 40’s looking my best! I had rhinoplasty this past May and that was my first surgery, so that fear of surgery and anesthesia is less. But, it’s still scary. I’m just thinking positive thoughts and picturing a great outcome. I’m glad I found you. We can buddy up on this:)

I am 38 and 1 mo P.O. from mommy makeover including muscle repair. I was scared too. It’s tough when you think about your family. My experience was great though! I chose a reputable PS and felt well taken care of. I also quit coffee before surgery so I wouldn’t wake up with a headache or drink coffee and it make m nauseous combined with the Norco. I followed all PS’s advice pre and post op. I will say it’s quite a long healing process before you feel 100%. Just realizing that.
