Hi! I am a 37 year old Mom to 3 children ages 8,6,3.5. All of them were born via c-section. My first c-section was lower than the following 2, resulting in 2 separate scars. My scar area looked normal prior to having my last baby. I developed some seriously ugly scar tissue and the dreaded “shelf” ????. After my second pregnancy I had my gallbladder out and upon examination they told me I had an umbilical hernia... so while they were in there they repaired it. Wellll fast forward to 8 weeks pregnant with number 3 and the mesh holding the hernia didn’t stay put resulting in an even larger umbilical hernia ????. Before kids... like back when I was 19 I had my breasts done. The surgeon SUCKED!! I had 3 surgeries total with him to try and correct his mistakes but ended up giving up on it. Years later of dissatisfaction and breastfeeding has made them even less perky and more uneven so I’m switching my saline out for silicone and praying my surgeon can correct the asymmetry!! As for the tummy tuck... it’s something I’ve gone back and forth with forever! I don’t want the huge scar but I also hate my stomach! I workout 7 days a week and nothing can fix it ????. I am deathly afraid of the Surgery and can’t stop thinking I’m going to die! I’m so scared doing this with little kids that need me... but I also really want to rock a bikini this summer!! ????????. Please help me through this journey!!Updated on 31 Jan 2018: Motivation is to have a flat stomach and feel confident! I’ve never even shown off my breasts in clothes due the asymmetry. I can think of so many positives once the Surgery is complete... but right now I’m petrified of dying on the table! Realistically, I’m hoping my recovery isn’t to bad considering I’m fit and have a high tolerance.Updated on 20 Mar 2018: Feeling great and pretty much back to normal. First week was rough, 2nd week was way better. I’ll be 3 weeks tomorrow and am loving my results! Very tight from the muscle repair and still struggle with standing totally straight. Bending is a bit of a struggle to but i use my legs. I’m Still swollen near my scar and old belly button vertical scar and more so at night but am wearing the binder 24/7. Here are some updated photos from this morning.Updated on 4 May 2018: 9 weeks! I feel amazing. At 7 weeks I feel like I really turned the corner and stopped feeling sore. I had my follow up appt and was cleared to resume all workouts! I’ve been spinning since 5 weeks and started light weights at 7 weeks. Yesterday was my first real workout using my abs and it went well! I’m easing into it though mainly because of fear. After 2 hernia repairs and the muscle repair I really don’t want to mess it up!!! Here is a photo I took yesterday of me in a bikini... say whaaaa, yep a BIKINI!!!
