I am someone who was very overweight my entire life. Highest weight was 280 pounds (size 18/20). I have had 3 pregnancies that ended in c-sections and had weight loss surgery. So needless to say, my body and breasts have fluctuated A LOT. These massive fluctuations meant my boobs were beyond deflated, looking at the floor, and I had a massive amount of loose skin on my tummy.
I FINALLY have had the opportunity to do something about it and had my mommy makeover!! As of today, I am 6 days post op and definitely do not feel like death anymore but for sure feeling the pain. The first 3 days were BRUTAL and it required staying on top of my pain meds and my surgeon also gave me a daily toradol shot to curb the pain. Had four drains and my breast drains were removed on day 3 and should be getting one tummy drain out tomorrow (day 7) and the final one the day after (day 8).
The pain along my incision is kicking in more and I am definitely having to take it easy. I have a 9 month old child, 4 year old, 13 year old, and 18 year in a wheelchair with a disability so my husband has had to massively step in because I am legit useless. Be prepared to COMPLETELY check out and have someone fully care for you and any children!
Will update as I continue through post-op. :-)

4 1/2 weeks post op!

I continue to keep moving right along with my recovery. On my 4 week follow-up I was able to nix the compression garment 24/7 and only wear when exercising (which also got cleared for cardio). I got to also stop the tape and switch to scar cream (YAY!). My muscles in my abs are still VERY sore and I for sure am having to remind myself to take it easy. I was feeling like my swelling wasn't going down but looking back on pictures now, it CLEARLY is going down.
Here's to hoping for continued recovery, getting started on weights, and continuing to find my abs and waist!

Looking great! I'm just about one week past due at five weeks of teatea with MR. No Lipo, but I've done it in the past. You look great! From what I understand it takes a while for all the swelling to go down after such a big operation like this. I didn't start swelling until after week four, so basically in the last week. Still compressing! I also got the OK to switch to the stage 2 compression and get out of my binder. But I don't know, wearing the binder makes me feel more secure? It feels strange without it!
