Having a breast lift soon. Looking for feedback on how much time it will take to heal? 36dd looking to be a c cup. Not sure how much pain I'll be in and how long I'll have To be on pain meds. My consultation was good, I saw the surgeons nurse and she said they would take about 200cc out to make me a c cup

I myself just had a breast lift on 1/12/18... i went from a 36DDD to a 36 full D. I only took one week off from work (i have a desk job). I seriously must of taken my pain meds twice, i really didnt need them. Iam on week two (about to hit week three) and im honestly in no pain. I would honestly tell you i didn't experience any "pain" ...its more of a tenderness you feel the first few days =)

I have my first appointment on Monday with the surgeon, how soon could surgery be done? I want it done ASAP, I just wondered if I’m going to have to wait 4 weeks :(

I think it depends how booked the surgeon is.

If you're not getting liposuction, hopefully, you'll be feeling good after 10 days. The swelling from lipo was the most painful for me, even more that the incisions. Plan on sleeping in an inclined position for the first week. Pillows have been my best friends. The drains were the worst thing for me. I had them for 6 days and getting them removed was wonderful! Hope this helps!

I am 3 months post op from BBL (Lipo/Fat Transfer from abdomen, flanks and back) and I too can attest to the Nerve Terrors of Lipo on my back. I going to my 3rd follow-up visit with doctor today and I plan to schedule my BL . I am a 36F and ready to be a 34/36C. Good luck to you CourtJM!

Hey Court,
Had my surgery on 9/8 (Friday) had my drains taken out on Sunday and was off my pain meds by Wednesday. My husband and I walk 2.5 miles every day and I was back to half of the walk on Mon and Tues then the full on Wednesday. Back to work on the following Monday. I only took a week off. Now I will say I have a very high pain tolerance but it was doable. My surgeon was amazing and said all of his patients never complain of post operative pain.

I wish you the best and message me if you have any questions or need pearls of wisdom

Surgery is getting closer. Can anyon reccomend what type of bra I can purchase that would be the best after surgery?

I just purchased a Haynes soft bra (no underwire) and it worked fine. I found when I tried on the post surgical bras they were to harsh. The material of the Haynes bra (walmart) didn't irritate. It also snaps in the back but it wasn't a big deal

Hi, I agree with bodydouble, the compression garments that I paid for with my doctor (2 x $150), did give good support but can be too tight after a few days. I'm 1 month post-op. I only alternated between two only for the first 2 weeks post op. He said I could also use a sports bra for the following 2 weeks. I also found a super comfortable Fruit of the Loom, no underwire, bra at Walmart. Label says "shapes & lifts", which I think is good because the surgical bra seemed to flatten my breasts too much. They were good for the first 2 weeks though and truly helped with the swelling since I also got liposuction. Just some other advice, remember to ask your doctor and anesthesiologist if they can put a small patch (like a band-aid looking type) behind your ear right before surgery to help with nausea. This was a lifesaver and I never got sick, thankfully. Best of luck with your surgery!

P.S. If you don't already have one, buy a jar of good old fashion Vaseline (100% petroleum jelly). It was a blessing to rub it all over my breasts (except the incisions, of course) as it kept my skin moisturized and to this day, I never felt any itching whatsoever.

Bio Oil was my moisturizer of choice. It smelled so good and absorbed well. I still use it to this day. It is for post surgical scars. I use it for everything,
