I had been contemplating calf implant(s) surgery for a while. I did my research on the procedure, but I knew the most important aspect of this surgery was finding a well qualified/experienced plastic surgeon. Finding a Midwest Plastic Surgeon that performs calf implant surgery proved to be a challenge. Then along came Dr. Tholen from Minneapolis Plastic Surgery. Dr Tholen performed a few non invasive Facial procedures on me in the past. I one day asked him if he preformed calf implant surgeries. He said yes. I scheduled the procedure for April 18, 2014. He has been preforming calf implant surgeries for years. I was able to contact past clients who had this procedure - they all have Dr Tholen a ringing endorsement. I now know why. My experience was excellent. Dr Tholen took time to answer all my questions pre-op. He measured and fit me for the perfect size implants. The surgery itself went great. I am now on my way to a full recovery. I love my calves. They look so natural and my self confidence is beyond belief. Thank you Dr Tholen and your wonderful staff. You changed my life.

The surgery itself was under 2 hours. Right after the surgery there was some discomfort. I was advised to rest and elevate my legs for the next two weeks. Its only been 8 days since my surgery. There is still some discomfort but my pain meds have helped. I'm able to walk to make my meals and use the bathroom. I can tell that the past couple days its getting easier to walk. I'm looking forward to a full recovery.
