I had a breast revision to downsize my implant...
I had a breast revision to downsize my implant size. I'm 5'3" tall, 115 lbs. and 50 years old. I had saline implants places in 1998, with a revision due to capsular contracture in 2003, to silicone. At the time, silicone wasn't approved by the FDA, but because it was a revision, I was able to get them . I had my revision surgery yesterday, going down from 500cc to 400cc. My right implant was ruptured, and I had capsular contracture in my left breast, I'm so happy to have decided to go smaller. I now feel like they fit my body shape and size. Thank you, Dr. Tholen, from Minneapolis Plastic Surgery for making my breasts "pretty" again.

Welcome news to know surgery is sucessful!I also had a revision and went from 500 cc silicone then 23 yrs later had them removed due to rupture on the right implant, these implants are the better newer silicone than I had in 1988 and I got 435 ccs HP Sientra round smooth implants.love them!Hey I am very glad for you and keep us posted on how you do post operatively.Good Luck!

Thanks for your review and kind words. Just a brief correction--the side that had contracted (left) was the implant that was ruptured. This was an implant from 2003 that appeared to be an "old style" non-cohesive implant. Glad we were there to fix the problem. Thanks again for taking the time to write a review. Cheers!

Thank you for correcting me. Obviously, I was still waking up from surgery, and that's why I was wrong about which side was ruptured. I think my breasts are very pretty, and thank you again!!!
